Kimberly Marsh Dietitian, LLC Hi! I’m Kimberly Marsh, a registered dietitian and self-proclaimed foodie. I love to eat. I enjoy trying new restaurants and experimenting in the kitchen.

Nutrition information for people struggling with weight and want a healthier lifestyle, particularly those with thyroid conditions such as cancer, hypothyroidism, or Hashimoto's Sushi, cheesecake, an abundant salad, and a great bowl of ice cream are some of my favorites. Nothing makes me feel more like a rockstar than making amazing food for people I care about. I have been a registered dietitian for over 10 years. I have worked in a variety of settings, but I love being able to work one on one with people to help them find the healthy lifestyle that works for them. As a mom of four crazy kids, I understand the importance of REAL life nutrition. Food needs to be accessible and enjoyable. Body image is so important to model for my young kids. I want to help them and you have a healthy relationship with food and free up the mental space to live abundantly, rather than focusing on weight and food restriction.

My toddler announced at Chik-Fil-A, "This is the best lunch ever!"

Lunch often gets a bad rap. It's an after thought, a pain, boring, etc.

But you don't have to choose between a big, juicy burger and a boring salad.

Lunch has so many options, if you open up your mind.

Today, I made an egg scramble with mushrooms, onions, peppers, and greens in less than 10 minutes. And it was filling and delicious!

One thing I love about intermittent fasting:
I have more energy throughout my day. 🥳
Sounds crazy, I know. 🙃
How can not eating for part of the day give me more energy? Do I just need more caffeine?
Let's back up. Before I started intermittent fasting, when I was tired I would either a) find some caffeine or b) eat a snack. B/c food would give me energy, right?
Well, those were the wrong things to do. Caffeine can give you a fake boost for a bit. And eating will actually make your body more sluggish b/c it spikes your insulin and puts you in "storage" mode.
Fasting means your body is burning calories and adrenaline is pumping and you are ready to go. And I actually try to stay away from caffeine as much as possible. Let my own hormones do their thing.

One of the biggest regrets I have is not keeping perspective in life. 🧐

I am REALLY good at taking what is happening right now and blowing it up to epic proportions - my life will be this way for 10 more years, etc. Anyone else?? 🙋‍♀️

When looking at my health, I am trying to be better at keeping a positive perspective and ask these questions:

Am I doing the best I can? 👍

Can I actually change this right now? 🤔

What can I do better tomorrow? 🫶

What is better today than yesterday? 🥳

There will rarely be days where I eat/move "perfectly", especially since I don't know what that is. 🤣

But I can do my best. Did I try to get some veggies in today? Did I exercise control around sweets? Did I drink enough water? Did I move my body.

Keeping this perspective also makes me feel happier, which then builds momentum to keep me making better choices.

For example, someone asked me today if I had a good workout as I left the gym. I mean, I guess so. She wasn't feeling like working out, felt too tired. I had felt the same way. But I know I'll have more energy later since I did. And that energy will help me want to eat better too.

I always have my water cup and my earbuds with me.

Why? 🧐

So often, people confuse hunger with thirst. And drinking throughout the day keeps my stomach more full. 🫗

I don't always do just plain water. I like to mix in flavor sometime. True Lime Black Cherry is a favorite. 🍒

Earbuds...well those are great for tuning out the kids, listening to a great book or podcast, or just jamming out to relieve some stress. 🎧

Dr. Benjamin Bikman's Why We Get Sick is a recent favorite book. Hidden Brain, Change Academy, and The Fasting For Life are some of my favorite podcasts lately. 🤓
