This is a boot camp, where the survivor's non-affected arm is put into a sling/restraining mitt and their affected arm is intensely trained for 5 hours/day for 2-3 weeks in a row. 70 % of survivors who participated were able to relinquish the services of their in-home care giver due to the gains made in their functional independence.
