🔸Per Mountaineer Gas, the timeframe for restoration of gas service is estimated at 7 - 10 days. Visit their profile for the most recent update (11/14 @ 4:30P)
🔸Mountaineer Gas employees will be in uniform, have ID, and be in a marked Mountaineer Gas vehicle.
🔸The boil water advisory is no longer in effect. Per West Virginia American Water, there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. View alert here >> https://alertsdetail.awapps.com/alert/32692
🔸If you have a medical condition that requires immediate assistance or an emergency, please call 911.
🔸Charleston Fire Department will continue doing wellness checks in the area.
If you are in need of a heater/food/assistance —
🔸Call 211 (8a - 4p).
If you are in need of a meal—
🔸Families with students at Mary C. Snow Elementary can pick up lunches between 10:30A - noon at the school. If you do not have transportation, and need food, please call 211 (8A - 4P).
🔸The Manna Meal mobile food truck will be at 739 Central Ave, the future site of Miss Ruby’s Corner Market, from noon - 2P. (Tuesday, November 14)
🔸WV Black Pride Foundation will be offering free soup and sandwiches at 1442 1/2 3rd Ave until 9P. (rest of week)
🔸WV Health Right Free Clinic / WVRX CommUNITY Center will have food available, 5P - 7P. (every night while gas is out)
🔸Dem 2 Brothers & A Grill has partnered with Abundant Life Ministries to do free meals at the West Side location from 11A until supplies are gone. (Tuesday, November 14)
🔸Charleston, WV Police Department & CPAAA will be giving out free BBQ meals at the North Charleston Community Center (Thursday, November 16, from 10:30A until supplies are gone)
If you need a shower—
🔸Showers are available at Charleston, WV Parks and Recreation North Charleston and MLK Community Centers, 9A - 9P.
🔸American Red Cross of Central Appalachia Region is providing comfort kits (toiletries) at shower locations.
If you want to donate items—
🔸New/unused blankets or non-perishable microwavable food can be dropped off at the North Charleston and MLK, Jr Community Centers (9a - 9p).
🔸New space heaters can be donated at One United Way Square to United Way of Central WV.
