Prostate cancer is the #1 cancer in men. Even though guidelines don't recommend screening in most men until age 50, I have a patient who was diagnosed at age 43. Talk to your doctor about getting a PSA screening blood test as early as age 40 and definitely starting by age 45.

Well sadly we have a new youngest age for prostate cancer at 44. Most doctors don't check for prostate cancer with PSA until age 50 if they check at all. We check all men beginning at age 45 and even sooner in some cases. Don't be a statistic to the #1 cancer in men which will be fatal if not detected and treated in a timely manner.
