☎️Calling our community members! Artbeat Studio is looking for your assistance!🎨🐝

Artbeat Studio at Wood County Society is creating something special over the next few months.✨ To complete this top-secret work, the Studio needs your help! Our Artbeat team is asking for donations of empty, clean, and dry *plastic* Mountain Dew bottles to upcycle.

These Mountain Dew bottles may be any size - 12oz, 16.9 oz, 20 oz, 1 Liter, or 2 Liter! Whether you prefer regular, diet, or zero, your trash is our treasure because we will accept all of the above as long as they are not flavored (as the bottles must be GREEN).✅ You may remove the labels in advance or we can remove them ourselves. The important part is that these bottles are plastic!

Thank you for your commitment to the Artbeat Studio and our efforts to creatively upcycle and recycle items in our community!♻️🖌️

On behalf of the Wood County Society Board of Directors, Leadership Staff, and our Community - we wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of the difference makers, change agents, and impact drivers in our community! Wood County Society office and Artbeat Studio will be closed Monday, September 1st. We will resume regular impact hours on Tuesday, September 2nd.

💙Wood County Society is out and about today! As we soak up the last few weeks of summer, we are participating in the Fall 2025 Involvement Fair at Marietta College!📚

Our setup today shares about many aspects of our programming, with an emphasis on the impact students can be part of in their surrounding communities through the Artbeat Studio!🎨🐝

Our individuals, families, and organization each thrive on community and volunteerism. Opportunities like these help each of us build community and find purpose in it!💚

Thank you to Downtown PKB for allowing us to be part of your team on a Saturday evening full of fun, music, and community at this year’s amazing and impactful event! 🎶💙💚

🦁🐒 Sensory Camp: Adventures at the Zoo! 🐅🦜

Our campers had a wildly wonderful time exploring the zoo, making memories, and engaging in fun, inclusive activities designed to meet sensory needs while sparking creativity, movement, and connection. 🌟

A huge thank-you to our Sensory Camp Sponsor – WVABLE for making these adventures possible! 💛 Thank you to our staff and volunteers and New Hope Baptist Church WV for allowing us use of your beautiful space!

Throughout the day, campers enjoyed:
✨ WVU Medicine Occupational Therapy & Physical Therapy sessions – encouraging movement, coordination, and confidence. WVU Medicine
🧩 Marshall University Autism Training Center – supporting learning, communication, and sensory-friendly engagement. West Virginia Autism Training Center at Marshall University
🎨 Artbeat Studio & Artsbridge, Inc. – bringing creativity to life through hands-on art experiences.
🎶 Music Therapy with Abby (Abby Dodds, MM, MT-BC) – creating joy, rhythm, and self-expression through music.

Every smile, every laugh, and every moment of discovery reminds us why inclusion matters. 💙
