Help make this holiday season extra special for our residents by selecting an ornament from our Giving Tree! Each ornament contains a resident’s Christmas wish list.

You are welcome to choose one or more items from the list—there is no need to purchase everything. Every thoughtful gift is deeply appreciated.

Please return gifts wrapped with the ornament tag attached so we can be sure they reach the right resident.
We kindly ask that gifts be returned by December 12, 2025.

🎃 Happy Halloween! 👻
What a spooktacular day we had! We enjoyed a cozy fall meal with pumpkin soup, chili, cornbread, and dirt cake for dessert. Residents had fun guessing how many spider rings were in the jar and playing a few lively rounds of bingo! It was a wonderful day full of laughter and Halloween cheer. We can’t wait to see all the trick-or-treaters tomorrow night! 🍬🕷️🧡

We’re all set and so excited for trick-or-treating in Parkersburg tomorrow from 4–7 PM! Our residents have plenty of goodies to share and can’t wait to see all the little ghosts, superheroes, and princesses stop by. 👻✨

🎯 Where’s Waldo Day! 👀

Today was “Where’s Waldo?!” — and let me tell ya, he was everywhere! 😄

We had a frightfully fun lunch featuring worms, eyeballs, and monster fingers, with a spooky graveyard dessert to top it all off! 💀🍬

Residents also took their best guess at how many eyeballs were in the jar — any guesses out there? 👁️👁️

To finish the day, we got creative and painted our pumpkins! 🎨🎃
A huge thank you to our awesome maintenance man and his wonderful family for donating all the pumpkins — you helped make our day extra special! ❤️

👻 White Day Fun! 👻

Today was all about white — ghosts, skeletons, and mummies! Our residents enjoyed ghost face pizza for lunch, followed by “mini pumpkins” (ha!) and delicious ghost cupcakes for dessert. 🎃🧁

We also tested our guessing skills with a “Guess How Many in the Jar” game — this time it was filled with mummy army men! 🏺🧟‍♂️

To top it all off, we played a lively round of pumpkin ring toss — there were plenty of laughs and lots of creative techniques as everyone tried to land those rings around the stems. What a spook-tacular day! 💀🕸️👻

🎃 Day 2 of Halloween Week: Pumpkin Day! 🎃

We had a gourd-geous time celebrating everything pumpkin today! 🧡 Residents enjoyed pumpkin-faced cheeseburgers, pumpkin cupcakes, and our monthly birthday party — even without any October birthdays, we still celebrated with cupcakes and ice cream! 🎂🍦

At lunch, we played a fun “Guess How Many Pumpkins Are in the Jar” game — now it’s your turn! 🎃

🧙‍♀️🎃 Halloween Week is off to a wickedly fun start! 🎃🧙‍♀️

Today, the Sanderson Sisters stopped by for a magical visit! ✨ We even had “spiders” for lunch — just kidding, they were hot dogs! 😂 After that, residents enjoyed some pumpkin face orange floats 🍊🧡 and played a spooky game of “Guess What’s in the Box!” Everyone had a blast feeling around and trying to guess what was hiding inside.

🍴 Foodie Friday Delight! 🍴

Today’s lunch was a hit with our residents — Baked Tilapia topped with Madrid Sauce, served alongside Seasoned Rice and Steamed Broccoli Spears. A perfect mix of flavor, freshness, and comfort! Everyone enjoyed a wonderful meal and great conversation to wrap up the week. 💛

🎃👻 We’re feeling spooky and sweet! 👻🎃

Our residents had so much fun today making ghost suckers to hand out during Parkersburg Trick-or-Treat on Saturday, November 1st from 2:00–4:00 PM! 🕸️

They can’t wait to see all the little trick-or-treaters stop by in their costumes — there will be lots of smiles (and candy!) to share! 🍬💜

We’re still collecting donations of candy or small goodies so our residents can keep spreading the Halloween cheer — every little bit helps make the day extra special for everyone! 🎃👻

🌿 A Huge Thank You to Conservation Officer Annette! 🌿

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Annette, our local conservation officer, who brought along an amazing collection of confiscated “treasures.” From snake-skin boots and purses to otter pellets and ostrich eggs, she had so many fascinating items to share! 🐍🦦🥚

Residents were captivated by the stories these items could tell — and we learned why each one is illegal to possess. It was an eye-opening and educational visit, and we’re so grateful to Annette for taking the time to share her knowledge and passion for wildlife conservation with us. 💚🌎
