Denim Day is a powerful, global day of awareness and action held each April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It began after a ruling in Italian Supreme Court r**e case 1998 where a survivor’s case was overturned based on what she was wearing—sparking international outrage and a movement to challenge victim-blaming.
On Denim Day, individuals, organizations, and communities wear denim to stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence and to send a clear message: what someone wears is never an invitation for assault.
In our community, Denim Day is more than just wearing jeans—it’s about:
Raising awareness about sexual violence
Supporting survivors and amplifying their voices
Promoting prevention and education!
