Why I Love Massage Therapy

I often get asked why I chose massage therapy and what I love most about it, so here’s my answer. For me, it’s so much more than a job. I see it as a way for me to make a positve difference in other peoples lives. My journey began in high school after a car accident left me in chronic pain that weighed me down, affecting every part of my life. I struggled for a long time, trying different treatments, but it was massage therapy that brought me the most relief.

That experience became the driving force behind my desire to start a career that would allow me to help others the way massage therapy helped me, to become someone people could trust with their pain management. Over the years, I’ve focused on honing my skills to truly understand pain and become skilled at treating and managing it. I’m proud to say I’ve developed a keen ability to pinpoint issues and provide personalized care that offers lasting relief.

What I love most is seeing the immediate relief and transformation in so many of my clients, watching someone walk out lighter than when they walked in provides a special feeling of acomplishment. Knowing I can make that difference is incredibly rewarding. Massage therapy allows me to create a space where people feel safe, cared for, and genuinely understood. Each session is a chance to help someone find peace within their body and feel whole again. That’s why I love what I do, and why I’ll continue to bring everything I have to every person who walks through my door.

Hey everyone! I’m excited to share that I've enhanced the lighting around my building to improve visibility and safety for evening appointments. I’ve installed 5K lumen bulbs on the corner of my building in order to illuminate the parking lot, and I also worked with the power company to add a new LED light to the corner telephone pole, brightening up the sidewalk. Your safety and comfort are always my top priority!

Updates are happening! My building is being pressure washed and painted, I'm sure many of you have seen as you drive past everyday. For those that have not seen, here is a sneak peak of the progress! We have chosen a color called Nuture Green in order to support our wellness theme! Part of our inspiration comes from the fact that my wife and I are currently setting up a small rare plant nursery to allow us the ability to offer you a variety of the rarer side of plant propagations in the future, as well as to provide a serene and clean air working space. More detailed updates soon! My new business location is coming along splendidly!

I would like to announce that I have officially moved Routine Kneads Massage Therapy to 2814 Camden, Parkersburg, West Virginia. I am no longer working out of an office inside of Simply Irresistible Hair. I am now located just down the road from the East Street Bridge on Southside, my building sits 2 buildings past Dowler Tractor Sales. Online scheduling remains the same as before, you can visit www.RoutineKneads.com to get scheduled at your convenience.

I also need to annouce an update to my prices. I have raised my rates to $1 per minute/$60 for an hour of standard Swedish and Therapeutic Massage, as well my Deep Therapeutic Massage rates have increased to $65 per hour. I have managed to keep my rates low at $50 for an hour for over 8 years of business, despite the pandemic, and despite inflation my rates remained the same. Now that my business is growing larger and my expenses, offerings, and physical demand are increasing, I need to raise my rates to better accommodate my work schedule of 7 days a week, Monday-Friday 10am-8pm, and Saturday/Sunday 8am-8pm.

I was waiting to officially announce my move until I had my business signs up and could get a better picture, but I can't wait any longer. All of my business signs should be made and established within the next couple weeks.
