Camden Clark Medical Center

On March 19 of this year my life changed. I found myself a Camden in Clark having open heart surgery and a stroke. I could not have gotten any better care anywhere else. I am so thankful for the staff that took care of me, it was like I was a princess. They came in before their position started just to check on me. When anything health related is going on thatโ€™s where I wanna be Camden Clark!๏ฟผ๏ฟผ
Patients Advocate is amazing!
I have called patients advocates and left messages to back. No calls. Camden Clark gets bad reviews and they do nothing to fix the problems they have.
To show appreciation to our first responders. Parkersburg Liberty Tax would like to offer our local heroes up to 50% off when filing their taxes with us. Thank you for all that you do.
Thank you Crown Florals for your generous donation of goodies and gift cards. Our staff appreciates you and your employees for the yummy snacks.
Please share and repost. If anyone is doing a bag, please let us know for the tally. Thank you!
This is the result of being pushed, and held down by your staff members on one of the worst nights of my life. Seeing this everyday really doesn't help my situation any and since then I have been dealing with some very dark thoughts. Thank you to Camden Clark nurses and security guards for being the WORST staff members that night. If you wanted to hurt me, you definitely succeeded!
Thank you Dr.Nenow and your great office staff for getting the green and purple ball out of Jeremiah's nose
Shout out to PCT Savannah on the 4th floor. She handled the unexpected behavior of my elderly stepmother with extreme kindness, flexibility and professionalism.
I was at Camden clark for over seven weeks and I just want to say the nurses and staff are the most caring people I've ever met. They never made me feel like I was asking for to much. They truly kept me going on the bad days when all I wanted to do was come home to my sons. I never felt like I was being judged or looked down on. The nurses there are truly my heroes and my family and I will never be able to repay the patience love and kindness that I was shown during my stay. So thank you lady's for everything you truly changed my life for the better #NOT ALL HEROS WEAR CAPES ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฅ
I can honestly say that I am hurting the worse I have in a long time.. Went to Camden Clark ER. Got xrays and sat for 2 hrs. Not once did they even come back to check on me either. And all just to be told to go home and take Ibuprofen. It's a sad world that the drug addicts and dealers got it to where somebody can't even get anything for pain. They asked me on a scale of 1 to 10 what was my pain. I looked at him and honestly told him a 12. Right now I wouldn't recommend Camden Clark to a dying dog.

And to top it off. Im sure my bill is gonna be $300-$600.
Wanted to give a huge shout out to my Patient Care Team this past Wednesday. Customer Care was wonderful from arrival to of course my amazing Physician. A big shout out to the Nurse Anesthetist, I hope she sees this, she was so compassionate at a moment I needed a little extra. Same of the Surgery Holding Nurse who is also my kin. Forgive me for not remembering names of this wonderful team, I hope you know who you are. Thanks CCMC for great care and a little extra customer service. P.S. I am fine, the point of this post is not about me, itโ€™s the Kudos to the CCMC Patient Care Team.

๐ŸŽ— This is how our team supports each other through difficult times. ๐ŸŒท Aimee Morris is the manager of 3N who has been battling breast cancer. She returned to work this week, after a leave of absence to undergo treatment. The staff made her door into an inspirational message wall to welcome her back. One of our unit clerks hand made paper flowers and staff from 3 North and all over the hospital left messages of hope, inspiration, support, and love in the door. ๐Ÿ’ช We're here for you, Aimee!

Shout out to his wife Mollie, who designed and gave our group these T-shirts she designed and made.

The team wishes to thank SS Tommy Wright for his service, and his wife Mollie for the awesome T-shirts!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€ Compassion is what we do best. In fact, it's one of our WVU Medicine values.

Loki, a nurse in our Emergency Department, had a very positive impact on a mother and her son through his acts of compassion. The patientโ€™s mother wanted to thank Loki for going above and beyond his duties during their ED visit. She shared that Loki was so polite and caring and that he comforted her by sharing a personal experience with his son that helped calm her down. He even brought her son a stuffed animal, which he hadnโ€™t put down since they left. She wanted to say thank you so much to Loki for being so kind to her and her son.

Thanks to Loki and all of you for your acts of compassion to our patients and their families!

๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Roshen Mathew, MD, and the Interventional Pulmonary team at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center (pictured below) for launching a Zephyr Valve program and treating their first patient.

The Zephyr Valve program provides a less-invasive treatment option for severe COPD/emphysema. The procedure involves placement of novel small endobronchial valves into the diseased parts of the lung so that the hyperexpanded damaged part of the lung regresses and the good part of the lung expands, helping patients with severe COPD/emphysema breathe better.

One common cause of sleep disordered breathing in children is enlargement of adenoids (a tonsil at the back of the nose).

Sleep disordered breathing should not be ignored. It should be managed to avoid complications that stem from it. These include ear infections, ear fluid buildup (from adenoid enlargement), poor facial development, poor alignment of teeth, excess sleepiness, raised blood pressure in the lung blood vessels- that may eventually cause heart failure, to mention but few.

Our provider team of Mark Nenow, MD and Scott Criser, APRN will help you focus on the underlying problem. ๐Ÿ™Œ
