👏🏻 We’re so proud of our friends at The Parkersburg High School and Parkersburg South High School with their Certified Athletic Trainers, Amanda Branch and Mackenzie Rice for being awarded the ”1st Team Award” from the National Athletic Trainers’ Safe Sports School. Congratulations! 🥳
Join us in congratulating Parkersburg South High School and Parkersburg High School, along with their athletic trainers Amanda Branch and Mackenzie Rice, as they were recently recognized with a national award. Both schools received the National Athletic Trainers' Association Safe Sports School 1st Team Award. This award recognizes secondary schools that take both the required and recommended steps to hold their athletics programs to the highest safety standards. The schools and their athletic trainers put in a lot of hard work to create Emergency Action Plans and injury prevention plans, along with evaluation and treatment of sports injuries that occur.

💙WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center has provided the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley a donation totaling $24,050, comprised of funds raised from their 2022 United Way Workplace Campaign and a pledge to match employee gifts.💛

❤🐻 Congratulations to our Rehab Services Team for being selected as the 'Weldon the Bear' award winner for a job “well done”! The Rehab Services Team was nominated by the Specialty Care & Trauma Services Team for the excellent service they provide our patients with compassion and competence. They have exuded compassion not only for their patients, but also for fellow ICU co-workers during the depths of the pandemic. There is never any hesitation in their abilities to help their teammates as well.
A special thank you to Shannon Farley, Sam Bates and Laura Riley for improving patient outcomes in the ICU.

🎀🍼 WVU Medicine Camden Clark’s first baby of 2023! Moriah and Ethan Spencer of Parkersburg welcomed their new year’s baby girl early Sunday morning! Lily Spencer was born at 6:29 a.m. on January 1st weighing 5 lbs, 5 oz. Lily is the younger sister to big brothers 3-year-old Cyrus Spencer and 11-year-old Lyric Boyd. The CCMC Auxiliary presented the parents with a New Year Baby Welcome Basket. Congratulations!🎉

🎨 WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center provided the Parkersburg Art Center a $5,000 admissions sponsorship to be enjoyed by the community beginning now and continuing through December 2023. This sponsorship will provide free gallery admission to anyone, allowing the community to enjoy any of the 15 – 20 rotating exhibits presented in the Art Center’s five gallery spaces throughout the year. 🖌️

We are ending 2022 with saying goodbye to our social worker of oncology support services, Marilyn McClure who is retiring at the end of the month. 💙
🎉Her entire social work career has spanned 40 years. She's worked on the inpatient side, for hospice, and then in our OP Cancer Services role. 👏
We will miss Marilyn but congratulate her on this well deserved retirement! 🎉👏
