We will be here serving our well-loved customers until this property sells and then we will continue to serve those same, well-loved, customers and more at The Gateway Healing Center in Marietta, Ohio at 521 Fort Street.

If you would like to be seen at that location sooner, we are happy to put you on The Gateway schedule. Patients are being seen there Tuesdays and Fridays currently.

Our hearts are heavy as we share that our beloved Ruby passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, with her devoted mothers, Heather and Jordana, by her side.Ruby was no ordinary “dog”—she was a noble Japanese Mastiff with the heart of a clown and the soul of a wise old woman. She loved squeaky toys, belly rubs, and chuffing at her coworkers - she shamelessly bummed treats from our patients, and could sniff out a snack (or Heather’s armpit) from across the room. She faithfully watched over her family, snuggled her cat, Fran, and never missed the chance for a “Two Meal Tuesday”. Ruby snored like a sound machine and cleared the office more than once with her signature toots—but we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Her presence was pure comfort and joy, and she gave so much love to everyone who walked through our doors. She was Dr. Heather’s Soul Dog for sure —her constant companion, protector, and best friend. The loss is immeasurable, but the love Ruby gave will echo in our hearts forever. Heather and Jordana wish to thank all of you who loved on Ruby through the years. Your kindness meant the world to her—and to us. Deepest gratitude to Dr. Jessica Kidd and the staff at Green Meadow Veterinary Hospital for their gentle, compassionate care, and to Leavitt Pet Crematory for helping guide Ruby to rest with dignity. Please join us in lighting a candle, saying a prayer, or simply sending love as we wish our sweet Ruby Jean a bright and easy journey. 🕯️🐾
