I am posting Mr. Wright's memo, President WVU Health System, on Social Distancing sent to docs today. Please read and share !
Please educate your family, friends – including your social media friends, and neighbors about “social distancing” in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak. We really need your help getting the word out about this and why it's so important. Social distancing is a life-saving imperative, one that can buy us critical time and help prevent our collective healthcare system from getting overwhelmed by a possible surge in COVID-19 cases.
Put into practice, social distancing is the reason why we've seen so many public events canceled across West Virginia, the nation, and the globe, but there's still much more we can do to educate people on this and why it's so important.
The CDC defines social distancing as it applies to COVID-19 as "remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when possible." This means "no hugs, no handshakes."
It's particularly important—and perhaps obvious—to maintain that same 6-foot distance from anyone who is demonstrating signs of illness, including coughing, sneezing, or fever. Along with physical distance, proper hand-washing is important for protecting not only yourself but others around you—because the virus can be spread even without symptoms.
With COVID-19, the goal of social distancing right now is to slow down the outbreak in order to reduce the chance of infection among high-risk populations and to reduce the burden on health care systems and workers. Experts describe this as "flattening the curve," which generally refers to the potential success of social distancing measures to prevent surges in illness that could overwhelm health care systems.

Stay away form crowds, wash your hands, follow government and CDC's recommendations. The picture of the "Tent-IUC" in this article was taken in Brescia, in my cousins's hometown, that is next to Milan in Italy, hardest hit by the corona-virus, and it is showing the problems we may have to face.
