Dr. Karam is my husbands Doctor. He is a wonderful man. He was informative and caring when Harry had to have 5 heart bypass surgery. And 2 years later shows this caring every visit. Even if he sees Harry away from the office he asks how he`s doing, any pain or problems. Has a beautiful family and great family man. I would recommend him to everyone. A compasionate caring Doctor.
Just wanted to say I wonder how many other people go in to the device clinic when they think they have an appointment but they really don't. It takes us an hour and a half to come there. Through a combination of skilled cardiologists and staff, modern medical technology, and attentive,

It is with great pride we announce that 50 years ago Dr. Michael A. Santer, Jr. established cardiology services in the Mid-Ohio Valley and formed Parkersburg Cardiology Associates, Inc. A year later he was joined by Dr. M. David Avington. Together, these great men built the foundation for 50 years or service to residents of the Mid-Ohio Valley. We appreciate the trust of our patients over the years and the support from referring physicians and the entire medical community. We would also like to thank past and current cardiologists and staff for their contributions towards this significant milestone. Our current team of skilled and compassionate providers and staff look forward to carrying on this tradition. Happy 50th PCA !!!!!

Photos from Parkersburg Cardiology Associates's post 02/04/2022

It's National Wear Red Day! We're wearing red to raise awareness. The more a woman knows about heart disease, the better chance she has of beating it. The first facts you need to know are very serious: Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year – more than all cancers combined. Fortunately, we can change that because 80 percent of cardiac and stroke events may be prevented with education and action. To learn more go to www.goredforwomen.org.

Parkersburg Cardiology Associates, Inc. (PCA) Has Been Granted an Additional 3 Year Term of Accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Nuclear Cardiology. This demonstrates PCA's ongoing commitment to providing quality patient care in nuclear cardiology. It indicates PCA has undergone intensive application and review processes and is found to be in compliance with the published Standards, thus demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care in nuclear cardiology. Comprised of a detailed self-evaluation followed by a thorough review by a panel of medical experts, the IAC accreditation process enables both the critical operational and technical components of the applicant facility to be assessed, including representative case studies and their corresponding final reports. There are many factors that contribute to an accurate diagnosis based on nuclear cardiology. The training and experience of the technologist performing the examination, the type of equipment used and the quality assessment metrics each facility is required to measure, all contribute to a positive patient outcome. IAC accreditation is a "seal of approval" that patients can rely on as an indicator of consistent quality care and a dedication to continuous improvement.
