We are so proud to recognize Zach Shockey, CNA as our April Employee of the Month!

Zach has been a valued part of the OVHC family for the past three years, and in that time he has truly made a lasting impact on both our residents and his coworkers. He consistently goes above and beyond, always putting the needs of our residents first and treating them with kindness, patience, and respect.

When asked why he became a CNA, Zach shared that he simply enjoys taking care of people. That heart for service shines through in everything he does each day. Whether he is helping a resident, offering a kind word, or stepping in to support his team, Zach brings a level of compassion that does not go unnoticed.

We are so grateful to have Zach on our team. His dedication and genuine care help make OVHC feel like home for so many.

We were absolutely delighted today at OVHC to welcome Mrs. Boyd’s 5th grade class from Wood County Christian School! 💛

Our residents were truly wowed by the students’ wonderful performances—filled with singing, skits, and heartfelt poems. To make the visit even more special, the students also brought along beautiful handmade cards that brought so many smiles. 😊

Moments like these mean so much to our residents, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, talent, and kindness these students shared with us

The Easter fun continues here at OVHC! 🐣🍩💐

Today our residents kicked things off with a sweet treat from a local favorite, JR’s Donuts—always a crowd pleaser! 😋 Then the excitement carried on with a festive Easter-themed bingo, complete with brand new Easter cards, plenty of candy, and lots of laughs.

Our top two winners hopped away with special Easter baskets, but no one left empty handed—everyone enjoyed some sweet Easter goodies to take with them! 🍬🐰

Springtime fun was in full bloom at our Easter Egg Hunt! 🐣🌸 Activities pulled out all the stops for a joyful afternoon filled with laughter, sweet treats, and plenty of surprises.

Chef Tere wowed everyone with her incomparable and delectable Easter desserts—each bite just as delightful as the next! Residents, staff, and families joined together, searching high and low for colorful Easter eggs while sharing smiles and making special memories.

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better… we were surprised with a special visit from the Easter Bunny! 🐰✨

From start to finish, the room was filled with festive cheer, laughter, and happy hearts. Moments like these remind us how special it is to celebrate together! 💛

Happy April Fools’ Day from OVHC!

We hope you enjoyed today’s very official activity schedule… we had quite a few residents considering signing up for Cow Tipping at 10:30 and preparing themselves for the Nap Evaluation at 11:00 😴

And don’t worry—Bingo is NOT cancelled (we would never do that to you!), and sadly, Mud Wrestling has been postponed indefinitely 😉

Today we celebrate National Doctor Appreciation Day—a time to recognize the compassion, dedication, and care that physicians bring into our lives every single day. 💙

Our residents took a moment to reflect on what they’re most thankful for when it comes to our facility doctor, Dr. Karlapudi. From kind words to heartfelt gratitude, their messages were shared and proudly displayed on our appreciation board.

It was a special time of coming together, sharing thanks, and recognizing the difference a caring doctor makes in our community. We are so grateful for all that you do, Dr. Karlapudi—and to all of the other amazing doctors out there saving lives! 👏

Our residents were egg-stra busy today getting into the Easter spirit! 🐣✨ The activity room was full of creativity as everyone colored and bejeweled their Easter eggs—talk about some egg-cellent designs!

There were plenty of laughs, a little sparkle, and a whole lot of fun. Safe to say, these eggs are looking “dye”-namite! 🥚💎

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️

We kicked off the day with some delicious shamrock shakes to get everyone in the spirit, and the fun just kept going! Residents enjoyed a festive party while watching the parade, indulging in tasty treats, and even had a special visit from our mischievous little leprechaun 🍀✨

The laughter didn’t stop there—we got creative coming up with our very own leprechaun names and even “transformed” everyone into leprechauns with their very own pots of gold! 🌈💰
