🦈 JAWS Turns 50: A Celebration You Couldn’t Escape! 🦈

Activities took a break from yard sale prep to dive into a Jaws-dropping celebration for the 50th anniversary of the iconic film! Residents and staff braved the waters for a fintastic time, complete with shark punch, “chum” snacks, and plenty of laughter. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water… the selfie frame surfaced! Guests snapped silly, spooky pics with our toothy prop and enjoyed a thrill-filled afternoon.🦈📸

Click play and get ready to laugh—our Watermelon Eating Contest was one for the books! Staff and residents gathered to watch the juicy showdown, and it did not disappoint. 😂👏

🍉 Big shoutout to Jarod for taking 1st place—but it was a tight race, and every contestant gave it their all!

The crowd was cheering, the faces were sticky, and the fun was off the charts. Residents got to enjoy some refreshing watermelon afterwards, too. 💚

🌸🎨 Courtyard Glow-Up at Ohio Valley Health Care! 🎨🌸

Our amazing residents have been hard at work in activities-transforming simple rocks and garden gnomes into colorful works of art! From cheerful flowers to silly faces and dazzling patterns, their creativity truly knows no bounds.

🪨✨ With paintbrushes in hand and plenty of laughs along the way, they’ve brought life and charm to our courtyard garden. Now, every stroll through the courtyard comes with a pop of personality, thanks to these beautiful handmade decorations!

Our residents and staff had an absolute blast during our water balloon fight in the pavilion this afternoon! Laughter filled the air, water balloons were flying, and everyone had a splash-tastic time cooling off in the summer sun. ☀️😄

What a fantastic day we had celebrating summer with a festive Carnival at Ohio Valley Health Care! ☀️🎈

Our residents and staff enjoyed all the classic treats—corn dogs, waffle fries, cotton candy, funnel cakes, churros, and so much more! 🍭🌭🍩 From colorful decorations and upbeat music to cheerful face painting and laughter all around, it was a day filled with joy, sunshine, and unforgettable memories.

🇺🇸 Celebrating Independence Day at Ohio Valley Healthcare! 🎆

Over the past two days, we’ve been proudly celebrating the spirit of Independence Day here at OVHC!

On Thursday, our Activities Department put on a festive Independence Day party filled with patriotic music, snacks, games, and plenty of red, white, and blue gear! Residents and staff alike got into the holiday spirit and had a fantastic time enjoying the celebration together.

Then on Friday, we kept the celebration going with a Fourth of July Cookout in the pavilion. Our incredible staff worked together to make the day as special as ever for our residents-with great food, laughter, and sunshine. The day wrapped up with a lively game of Patriotic Bingo, bringing everyone together for one last round of fun.

It was a joyful and heartwarming couple of days, full of smiles, community, and celebration. ❤️🤍💙

Today at Ohio Valley Health Care, we had the joy of celebrating our amazing CNA, Brittany, as she prepares to welcome her sweet baby girl into the world! 💕🍼

It was such a special afternoon filled with love, laughter, and plenty of pink! Staff and residents came together like one big family to shower Brittany with support and well wishes. Moments like these remind us just how strong and close-knit our OVHC community truly is. 💖

🎉 We kicked off CNA Week at Ohio Valley Healthcare in style with a visit from none other than Elvis himself! 🎤👑

Rain or shine, Elvis brought the house down with a rockin’ performance that had our residents shaking, rattling, and rolling to his #1 hits! 💃🕺

During the show, our Activities Team and Elvis took time to honor our incredible CNAs — the heart of OVHC. ❤️ Their dedication, compassion, and daily commitment to our residents do not go unnoticed. We are truly grateful for the essential role they play in our community.

🌱🌼 Teamwork in Bloom at Ohio Valley Healthcare! 🌼🌱

What an incredible day at Ohio Valley Healthcare as our amazing staff came together to plant a beautiful garden for our residents! 💪💚 From digging in the dirt to picking out the perfect flowers and veggies, the spirit of teamwork and care was shining bright.

We’re so excited to create this peaceful outdoor space where our residents can relax, socialize, and enjoy nature. With the warmer days ahead, we’re looking forward to filling the season with fun outdoor activities, fresh air, and the joy of watching our garden grow together. 🌞🪴
