🍂 We Got Crafty Today at OVHC!🍂

Today our residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative with a fun fall-themed craft! Together, we made Fall Leaves Mason Jar Lanterns — a decorative piece for their rooms that doubles as a cozy nightlight. ✨🏮

Residents were able to customize their lanterns with their favorite colors and leaf designs, making each one unique and personal. It was a wonderful collaborative effort between our residents and our Activities & Hospitality teams, and the smiles said it all!

At Ohio Valley Healthcare, we truly thrive when we work as a team to bring joy, comfort, and a little extra fall magic to our residents’ days. 🍁💛

Activities hosted a lively Nerf Target Practice, where residents put their aim to the test and kept their eyes locked on the prize. We were truly impressed as many hit the target again and again!

The room was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles. It was a great day of connection, celebration, and good times for everyone involved.

🍎 Happy Apple Cider Day! 🍁

On this dreary, rainy day, our residents found the perfect way to warm up and lift their spirits! Activities hosted a cozy Table Talk with Chef Tere in the dining room, where she brewed up delicious hot apple cider and prepared a spread of sweet treats that gave everyone the pick-me-up they needed.

The room was filled with laughter, conversation, and that comforting fall aroma of cinnamon and apples. Residents enjoyed socializing, sharing stories, and soaking up the cozy atmosphere together.

And of course—no afternoon is complete without a little friendly competition! After the treats, everyone jumped into a lively game of Left, Right, Center, energized and ready for fun.

Days like this remind us how meaningful connection, comfort, and a little creativity can be. 🍂❤️

We were so lucky to have one of our very own residents step into the spotlight today during our Jam Session with Sam, joined by our wonderful musical therapist guest. 🎶

Many of our amazing residents came down to watch, sing along, and share in the fun. Moments like these remind us just how special our community is. We’re so grateful for the joy, connection, and talent that fill our halls every day!

Our residents kicked off the day in style — starting with a good stretch and rolling right into Strength for Life, all while jamming to a playlist full of bops that got everyone moving and grooving! 🎶✨

Who says workouts can’t be fun? Between the dance moves, laughter, and maybe a little friendly competition, our crew proved that staying active is all about good energy and great company. 😎🙌

Here at OVHC, we make wellness fun — because fitness, friends, and a little funky music are the best way to start the day! 🕺

Today, our Activities Department hosted a special celebration to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. We came together to recognize their service and sacrifice with a heartfelt Veterans Day Social filled with gratitude, good company, and community spirit.

A special thank you to our amazing OT team member — and proud veteran — Curtis, for sharing an inspiring speech that reminded us all of the true meaning of patriotism and service. Residents enjoyed delicious donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate while reflecting on what this day represents.

Veterans Day is a time to remember that freedom isn’t free — it’s earned through courage, dedication, and love for our nation. ❤️💙

Randy Brady and company brought the music and joy tonight! 🎶 Our residents had an amazing time singing along, clapping, and joining in on the fun. It’s always such a treat having them here — their talent and warmth fill the room every single visit. We are so thankful for Randy and his friends for coming by each month and sharing their gift with our community. ❤️👏

Our Diva Debutantes stepped out in true Red Hat Society fashion today! 💃🍷✨ Residents sipped on wine, shared stories, laughed over wonderful memories, and showered one another with compliments like the queens they are. It was an afternoon filled with sparkle, sisterhood, and unforgettable memories. Here’s to celebrating friendship, elegance, and living life boldly with a splash of glam and a whole lot of heart! 💜👒🍷

We closed out October in style here at OVHC! Our team went all out for Halloween — from spooky to silly, the creativity was off the charts! 💀✨

Staff showed up in their best costumes, and this one was truly one for the books! It was nearly impossible to pick a winner because honestly… everyone was a winner when it came to best costume! 🏆🎭

Our Activities Team went all out today to make sure everyone was ready for the big Halloween bash — starting with a resident costume shopping spree right before the party! 🧙‍♀️🦇
