Providing professional service to the residents of Sayreville and Parlin since 1936!

The Sayreville Emergency Squad is an independent non-profit VOLUNTEER corporation for the sole purpose of providing superior quality emergency medical and technical rescue services for FREE to the residents of Sayreville. It has been an organization supported and held with high regard by all the residents and every Mayor and Council of Sayreville since 1936 – that’s over 80 years! We are operated primarily by your friends and neighbors who live in Sayreville and VOLUNTEER their time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you in your time of need. We are made up of professional individuals who care about you and this town because we live in this town.

We thank you for your continued support, we ask that you take the time to consider your yearly pledge. A number of factors have contributed to the increasing cost of running the Squad. Increasing call volume, operational equipment costs (particularly replacement of apparatus), and a significant increase in administrative costs strain our annual fund drive. Unlike some other squads or departments around the State, our ambulances and equipment are purchased by donations from people just like you. We respond to over 3000 emergency calls every year (an average of 8+ per day) all made possible by the residents and dedicated volunteers. Unlike a paid ambulance company that simply provides transport at a very high cost to you, the Sayreville Emergency Squad provides the following services FOR FREE:

Medical Emergencies
Heavy Rescues
Water Rescues
Search and Rescue
Other Calls of Duty
Standby at School, Sports, and other Civic Organization Events upon request

🎉 As we say farewell to the year, we’re proud to recognize our top 2023 responders at the Sayreville Emergency Squad! 🚑🌟 Our volunteers responded to a total of 1915 calls from Dec 1, 2022, to Nov 30, 2023, their dedication is unmatched. Huge congrats to each of our volunteers—your hard work helps keep the Borough of Sayreville safe! 🚨🚑❤️

Santa LOVED spending the day in Sayreville with his favorite First Aid Squad! He met so many residents- Children, Adults, & plenty of Dogs! He really wished he didn’t have to leave so soon, but with Christmas being just days away he’s already back at the North Pole!

😀Total Hardware and Garden Supply Inc. & Benjamin Moore Retail for letting us borrow their generator to help light Santa’s sleigh.

😀The Sara Dubinin Foundation for donating hand warmers for our volunteers & candy canes for the community.

😀Dunkin' (Alliance Management QSR) operating many locations in our area for the coffee & delicious breakfast to help get our day started.

😀Wilson Elementary School PTO for providing us with refreshments & snacks at their hot spot.

😀Amano Pizza for ending our perfect day by warming up our bellies with delicious dinner!

🚨We answered a total of 9 First Aid calls throughout the day (6:00am-10:00pm) which at multiple times resulted in having 2 Ambulances leave Santa Sleigh Ride route.
🌧️ “Oh, the weather outside is frightful” due to the rain we were operated quicker (1 hour ahead of schedule) to help keep Santa dry so he doesn’t get sick days before Christmas.

Months of preparation, weeks of decorating, days of cleaning, hours of no sleep & all day freezing… was all worth it after seeing all the warm smiles and happiness (true meaning of Christmas) in everyone while spreading holiday cheer! Please remember we are 100% VOLUNTEER- some of our us joined a few weeks ago, while others years ago. We’re a small family, not perfect but we pour our hearts & souls into everything we do for our community.

Santa had lots of fun today at our Pizza with Santa Fundraiser at Amano Pizza 🍕🎅🏼🚑 He brought pizza back home for Mrs. Claus & the hard working elves (that’s if he doesn’t eat it all on his trip back 🍕🤤). Santa will be back in Sayreville bright & early tomorrow for our annual Santa Sleigh Ride beginning at 9:00am- don’t forget to follow our Facebook event page! 🚑❤️🎅🏼🚨

Did you know The Sayreville Emergency Squad provides many community education presentations, demonstrations and professional medical training courses for the home and business. Ranging from children to the adult who is young-at-heart, our presentations and courses are geared towards the age of our audience. We are a authorized training center with the American Heart Association.

Each month new, old, & prospective members all come together for a monthly meeting & drill. Since the year is coming to a quick end during this past weekend’s drill we conducted Rig Checks, Equipment Inventory, & Training Audits (signing members up for FEMA, CPR & EMT classes). This was a great learning experience for all of our members especially EMT Roshan Mohanakrishnan who will be serving as our 2nd Lieutenant in 2024. EMT Mohanakrishnan took the time out of his busy weekend to learn from Captain Ott to prepare for his upcoming duties. 🚑 ✅🚨

Our route and hotspots are within our EMS response area within the Borough of Sayreville. If we don’t come to you, then come to us! Sayreville Borough Hall and Sayreville Emergency Squad Headquarters are just 2 of the many convenient locations to see Santa!

This morning we had the honor of escorting Santa Claus to South Side 35 Diner. Santa & the Grinch enjoyed a delicious breakfast & had so much fun meeting all the good little boys and girls!🎅🏼💚 Santa’s EMS Elves 🚑🤗 didn’t get to spend much time with Mr. Claus & Mr. Grinch as they were extremely busy answering first aid calls. Thank you to the Middlesex County Education Association for sponsoring our fundraiser again this year.
