Sometimes, we may put grief in a box associated with death. The truth is, we need to grieve losses as well. These losses may include but are not limited to: .
-A break up
-The selling of your childhood home
-What you always wanted but never got
-A person who is still alive but is electively absent in your life
-The loss of a dream
-Divorce
-Infertility
-Loving someone who is self destructive
-The loss of a pet
-The end of a friendship
-Job loss or the end of a career

One moment you may feel you’ve fully moved past something, the next moment it’s right back in front of your face. That’s because grief is demands to be felt. But grief isn't some evil force that's only there to cause pain, grief is escorting up an even deeper feeling - a truth about your life, what you value and what you need. Many of us hide our true selves because we’re afraid to express vulnerability. This is where shame stems from. Vulnerability is about showing up and being seen.. but it’s tough to do that when we’re terrified about what people might see or think. When we’re fueled by the fear of what other people think or the tapes in our minds constantly whispering “You’re not good enough” in our ear, it’s tough to show up. We end up hustling for our worthiness rather than standing in it. The very thing we are protecting ourselves from could be the source of our greatest strength. Make room to explore your identity, goals and fears..and find people who support you for who you are.
