Calendula quite literally saved my skin! ✨🌼✨

I was 20 years old when I started having severe reactions that started on my fingers that eventually spread all over my body.

The level of discomfort it caused me really took a toll on me not just physically but also mentally and emotionally.

I tried so many remedies, and I still couldn’t find the relief and healing I was seeking. So I went to a dermatologist and they said I had eczema and gave me steroids and sent me on my way.

I knew this was temporary and I couldn’t rely on this forever, so I decided to take an herbalism course to find a natural remedy with no side effects.

MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE ✨🏋🏾‍♀️✨

I didn’t realize how much I missed working out until today….

The past few years I shifted my focus from physical work to inner work - mental, emotional & spiritual.

The progress showed tremendously and I’m incredibly grateful for that, but my body was put on the back burner for a bit.

And recently I really started to notice that. I listened to my body and it was asking to pour more time and care into it again.

Today I got up despite how much I didn’t want to and told myself “You are worth it.”

It felt good to put my headphones in and just focus on what my bodied wanted - strength, release, and reconnection.

Working out is just like any spiritual practice, it brings us closer to ourselves in a way that evokes empowerment, care, and ways to push yourself towards higher goals and intentions.

I feel sore but lighter after taking some time to honor my bodies abilities to be able to keep me going.

No point in taking it for granted anymore, one day I won’t be able to use it.

Time to rebuild. 💪🏼
