NJ4S Prevention Consultants are presenting Safe Dates to various schools this month. This dating violence prevention program provides middle and high school youth of all identities with prevention skills that include changing dating violence norms and gender stereotyping, as well as improving conflict-management skills, help-seeking behavior, and other cognitive factors associated with help-seeking. Students learn about defining caring relationships and dating abuse, why people abuse, about helping friends, overcoming gender stereotypes, equal power through communication, how we feel/how we deal, and preventing sexual assault.

January is Mental Wellness Month! Mental wellness isn’t about perfection or big changes; it’s about prevention. It’s learning coping skills early, building small, consistent habits, and reaching out for support before things feel overwhelming.

At NJ4S, we believe caring for your mental health starts long before a crisis. This January, focus on checking in with yourself, creating realistic routines, staying connected, and learning tools that support your wellbeing all year long.

You don't have to do it alone!

The arrival of a new year means a chance to check in with ourselves and with each other. Mental health is not about perfection or pressure, but about support, connection, and care. This is a great time of year to reflect on our past growth and reflect on where we'd like to go from here.

NJ4S Morris-Sussex wishes everyone a very happy New Year; check out our free programming to help prioritize your mental health in 2026!
