                                            Seeking a friendly and courteous Delivery Driver for an independent pharmacy. Full time and Part time hours available, Monday thru Saturday. Applicants must be over 18 years of age with a valid NJ State driver’s license in good standing.
Responsibilities include the following...
Main responsibility will be completing scheduled deliveries with limited duties as a pharmacy clerk.
Delivery of pharmaceuticals and/or goods to homes, MD offices or Pharmacies.
Ability to Load all Merchandise into vehicle for delivery.
Delivery Driver must arrive at the pharmacy by scheduled time, in advance if necessary, to prepare for the day's work.
Delivery Driver must make sure all deliveries are entered into the register for delivery and ensure all addresses for delivery are correct and labeled correctly prior to leaving.
Delivery Driver must make sure all meds are enclosed to also include ensuring refrigerated items are properly packaged and no products appear to be damaged.
Delivery Driver must abide by all traffic law’s including speed limits, traffic signs, lights, etc. to ensure the safety of self, pedestrians, and all others during the delivery process.
The delivery driver will record each stop during the day in the order as per the delivery log, and prior to leaving store. They will have separate bags for each location.
Delivery tech will check in after completing each home during the day and will relay any messages to staff pertaining to the patients. Delivery driver will always be available to answer the phone when required.
Responsible for any medications that are brought back per patient request and must be handled immediately when arriving back to store: all medications must be either reconciled as per procedures.
Provide timely and accurate completion of deliveries in an efficient and courteous manner.
Verify receipt and provide signature for receipt of items delivered.
Delivery drivers to collect the copays from the patients at the time of delivery or prior to processing the holds via cc info.
Assist in maintaining a clean pharmacy environment by performing various housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and disposing of trash.
Stock vials.
Accountability:
Prepares delivery batch and makes deliveries to customer house on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
Uses a handheld iPad to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation.
Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs.
Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
Prior delivery driving experience a plus.
Ability to use computers and iPad.
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time.
Ability to read and follow maps and directions to customer locations.
Professional when dealing with team members and the public.
Maintains clean cars.
