Parsippany CERT The Parsippany Community Emergency Response Team is the volunteer arm of the Office of Emergency Management. Training is FREE to adult residents.

Volunteers are FEMA trained, with a 20 hour class and exercise. See the webpage for more information.

Please join Mayor James R. Barberio and the Parsippany Interfaith Council on Thursday, September 11, 2025 for a solemn remembrance ceremony for victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We will observe the 24th anniversary at the 9/11 memorial monument site in front of the Parsippany - Troy Hills Municipal Building, 1001 Parsippany Blvd., at 8:40 a.m.

Residents are invited to join Township officials and clergy in remembering those who perished that day. We especially remember our community members lost on that day: Martin Boryczewski, Antoinette Duger, Jason Kyle Jacobs, Michael Pescherine, Thomas H. Polhemus, Maria Theresa Santillan, and Michael C. Sorresse.

Record breaking 100o day followed by a violent thunderstorm, downing trees and wires, flash flooding and washouts. Shout out to The Timber Tailors of Stanhope who was passing by and stopped to cut up the tree blocking the road, and to neighbors further down the block who took care of another smaller tree. A chaotic 2 hours with kudos to PD, Fire, Forestry and DPW! And a special thanks to our Dispatchers.

Behind the scenes. An 8 hour day, and for some 12 hours. CERT members assisting at access points, handicap parking, Preparedness handouts, lighting and a Drone over watch and RACES handling the comms. OEM command bus was there somewhere. Thanks to all who came out to make the evening safe.
