Did you know that 10 states, including California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington, provide doula services through Medicaid at no cost? Additionally, Louisiana and Rhode Island require coverage through private insurance.
๐ This means more mothers can access the help they need without financial barriers.
States such as California, Indiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, and Virginia are considering similar coverage initiatives to further support maternal health.
Itโs an election year! Advocate for more mothers to have access to this vital support. Spread the word and tell your state representatives to expand these services.
