Feeling stiff after hours at your desk? You’re not alone. Prolonged sitting can lead to joint stiffness, tight muscles, poor circulation, and increased strain on your spine. Over time, this can contribute to chronic back or neck pain and even impact your overall posture and mobility. That’s why it’s important to be proactive—your body wasn’t designed to stay still for hours on end.

Make it a habit to stand up, stretch, or take a short walk every 30 to 60 minutes. These quick breaks help keep your joints mobile, reduce pressure on your spine, and give your muscles the movement they need to stay healthy. Whether you’re in the office or working from home, small adjustments like this can make a big difference in preventing pain and supporting long-term spinal health.

Kyphoplasty is an advanced medical procedure designed to treat painful vertebral compression fractures, most commonly caused by osteoporosis. These fractures can lead to loss of height, a hunched posture, and chronic pain that limits daily activities. During the procedure, a small balloon is inserted into the collapsed vertebra to create space, which is then filled with bone cement. This helps stabilize the bone, relieve pain, and restore vertebral height in many cases.

Clinical studies have shown that kyphoplasty can provide significant and immediate pain relief, improve mobility, and reduce the need for long-term pain medications.

Please contact our office if you would like to learn more about Kyphoplastu! We would love to provide you with resources and assist you with scheduling an appointment to discuss if this therapy could be right for you.

Spring is here!
Take advantage of the beautiful weather by going on a walk. Walking is a great way to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, but it also has many benefits for the management of back and joint pain.

Walking is an easy way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. This can help your back pain through strengthening of your core muscles, improved range of motion of your joints, and management of body weight. Additionally, exercise can stimulate the release of endorphins that function to improve mood and suppress pain signals.

Last, remember to get your steps in today. Spencer knows best!
