As much as we love "the body keeps the score", our brains are wired to thing about all of the negative before considering the positives. I often hear this book refernced with great intent but it seems we focus on the "darkness" held in our bodies. What if we gave ourselves permossion to reflect more on memories where we felt painfree, joyful, or even ecstatic. with practice, we can all shift our minds to first have positive thoughts rather than run the default program. In hypnotherapy, this is a tool we can use to support subconcious mindset shifts.
