One of the most frustrating and upsetting parts of having anxiety is people telling you to "just get over it." Or "you worry too much." What a lot of folks who don't understand anxiety also don't understand is the fear can feel very real.

Validating that the fear is real, but that, the vast majority of the time, the danger is not... That can be a big step towards progress and healing.
