Do you ever feel like complete garbage? Guess what? You're not alone, and you actually have a lot more control over this than you might realize. How do I know this? Because 100% of my nutrition coaching clients report substantial increases in energy and improvement in their overall mood and wellbeing, simply by making adjustments to things in their day that they hadn't acknowledged they have control over.

100%...does it sound to good to be true? it isn't! The fact is, our bodies are designed to heal and thrive. But it's up to us to make sure our bodies have the support they need to do their thing. Did you know that lack of sleep can cause you to overeat? Yikes! As humans, we are complex, living organisms, and when our bodies don't feel rested they send all sorts of signals to our brain to try to achieve homeostasis. Sometimes your nagging craving might just boil down to the need for a good night's sleep. 🤷

Practicing good sleep hygiene is another skill we teach in nutrition coaching that is simple to start and develop, and will pay off over time. Failure! That word is so misunderstood. Keep in mind that failure typically lives in the past. So, what can you do with something in the past? 1) Dwell on it and let it beat you up, 2) Let it go completely, 3) Use the experience as a helpful 'data point' and learn from the experience.
True failure really only exists when one makes the choice to give up altogether. That means that you actually have more control over the situation than you might be giving yourself credit for. How does your mindset shape your perception of failure? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!

Are you a ZOMBIE EATER? Yikes! What the heck is that?!? Sounds scary, right? Well, actually, many people “zombie eat” throughout the day and don’t really realize it. Hence the word “zombie!” It’s a lighthearted term we use in my nutrition coaching room to help call out unwanted eating behaviors. 😉 😂

If you get to the end of the day and find that all you did was mindlessly grab random bits of food all day, but don’t feel genuinely nourished and satiated, you can probably conclude that your INNER ZOMBIE took over your eating for the day!

Here is the thing: DON’T BEAT YOURSELF UP about it. Just use some simple guidelines to make sure your daily eating is planned, regulated, and properly nourished. And keep that inner zombie far away!
