Tightness between the shoulder blades may be coming from mobility restrictions in the posterior rib cage. Exercises that expand the posterior rib cage and move the scapula forward through breathwork, reaching movements, and rotational movements can be helpful tools to provide relief against chronic tightness between the shoulder blades.

If your low back is feeling tight, try these 4 movements to loosen it up. 😄

1️⃣ Dead bug with Reach & Trunk Rotation
2️⃣ Kickstand Slouched RDL
3️⃣ 90/90 Hip Lift with Reach
4️⃣ 3D Stretch

The goal with these exercises is to mobilize the spine & pelvis and loosen up the tissues around the low back and hips. Give these 4 movements a shot. 👍

Lateral Squats ↔️

One of my favorite ways to teach someone to move in the frontal plane is with lateral squats.

🔑 One of the main goals is learning to lateralize your center of mass over the stance leg in a tripled flexed position. Finding a wide enough base is the first step.
🔑 Load the inside edge of the foot. This allows you to absorb and decelerate your mass to then redirect it back to the opposite direction.
🔑 Using this exercise is a great way to work on some loaded hip mobility as well.
