Hello everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update as to how Ken is doing... He's still in the ICU following his open heart surgery, hes having complications with retaining fluid. aHis kidneys are not functioning as they should currently and his blood sugars are way off the scales. So tomorrow they are doing a procedure to get rid of some of the retained fluid. Most of the time that entails draining fluid out of the abdominal cavity, with a catheter tube and a pump or siphon type instrument, but it will relieve the pressure off the lungs. They've got him on all sorts of medications by IV and injectable along with oral meds. So we're kind of waiting and seeing at this point. we'll see how much fluid they get off of his chest tomorrow. I will give an update as soon as I hear something and we're set to go. So continued good vibes, Thoughts, Prayers, wishes or however you choose to word it are much appreciated. We are working on setting up a benefit with a silent auction, BBQ plates, and similar stuff . So if anyone would like to help out with donations or planning please send either myself (Joyce Wiggins) this page or Diana Hutton a message and we can get this going we're hoping to do this toward the middle of March depending on work schedules and what not but stay tuned.
