I achieved my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles in 2005 with an emphasis was in Individual, Family and Child Therapy. I carry my Bachelor of the Arts degree, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, from Pepperdine University. My clinical experience is extremely diverse given that I have worked in community mental health, hospital and private practice settings. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of people from varying cultures, economic backgrounds, sexual orientations, religious affiliations and of varying age. In my current practice I treat patients of various levels of functioning from high functioning individuals to the more seriously chronically ill. I am knowledgeable in the area of psychotropic medications and actively consult with a patient’s psychiatrist as needed. My diversity in experience allows for the implementation of appropriate interventions and support suited for the person’s needs and goals. I specialize in providing individualized treatment for adults and adolescents with depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, substance dependency and other addictions, co-occurring disorders, anxiety, family issues associated with co-dependency, LGBT issues, personality disorders, and psychological issues related to trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. My goal is to treat each person as an individual with differing needs and goals. My hope is to offer the support needed to allow for each patient to maximize the joy in their life while better coping with life’s challenges.
