Starting kindergarten is a big transition…not just for children, but for parents too! While many families focus on academic readiness, we like to remind caregivers that emotional and relational readiness matter just as much.

At our recent Stand Up! Speak Out! Summer Camp in Descanso Gardens, campers enjoyed a fun team-building activity. 😆 They were paired up and interviewed each other to learn one another’s favorite colors, hobbies, and a word each would like to have on a bracelet.

In the second image, groups performed skits they created showing how to communicate with assertiveness and compassion on the beautiful amphitheater stage!✨
