NAMI San Gabriel Valley

NAMI San Gabriel Valley provides a variety of programs for individuals and family who need help in fighting mental illness.

NAMI SGV is a nonprofit advocacy and support group for mental health, dedicated to the eradication of stigma towards mental health and increasing education and advocacy. Severe mental illnesses include neurobiological disorders such as: Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder (formerly manic depressive disorder),major depression, OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder),and anxiety disorders. Here are just a few of the programs we provide. Family Support Group, Connections Support Group, Frontline Support Group, Distinguished Speaker Meetings, educational programs, a monthly publication and a telephone help line.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley is holding a Peer to Peer Class weekly starting Sunday, January 25 to March 15 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM via Zoom.

Peer to Peer is a peer-led, recovery education course open to any person with a mental health condition. Peer to Peer emphasizes recovery from mental illness as a feasible, supportable goal and challenges the stigma often wrongly associated with mental illness. Peer to Peer is for individuals 18 and over.

We invite you to participate in the 2025 End of Year Giving Campaign, Hand and Hand. Throughout the year we have stood together as a community supporting each other’s and our own mental health.

This year we are raising money for our general funding. As legislation is changing, our funding source is unclear. Together we can ensure free programming, for people impacted by mental illness, continues throughout LA County and NAMI San Gabriel Valley.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley will cancel some of the Family Support Groups in November, December, and January. Also, Connection will be canceled twice in December.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley will be the beneficiary of a Charity Show at Arcadia High School. We are very grateful to Arcadia High School's Dance Department for their generosity. On Friday, December 5, 2025 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The address is Arcadia Performing Arts Center, 188 Campus Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007.

Tickets are General Admission $20 and VIP $25.

Join your NAMI community for a Holiday Party. The Holiday Party will be held on December 7th, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. We will meet at the Rosemead Community Recreation Center, 3936 Muscatel Ave., Rosemead, CA 91770. Bring your favorite side dish or dessert. We will provide the main dishes and drinks. We hope to see you and your family there!

NAMI San Gabriel Valley is pleased to announce that we will be offering Family Support Group in person after many years being held only on Zoom. Family Support Group will meet every first Wednesday of the month in person at the Fair Oaks Renaissance Plaza Community Room, 649 N. Fair Oaks Ave. Second Floor #203, Pasadena, CA 91103. The meeting time is from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. No application or registration is required.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley will continue to offer Family Support Group virtually on Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM weekly.
