"Homebase" is a two and a half acre, beautifully landscaped facility in NW Pasadena. On the property we have accommodations for 135 residents, a beautifully maintained fitness center (thank you Massman Family), a little store, a library, an auto center for maintenance of our 30 vehicles, a conference center, a medical facility and a fully stocked building filled with clothing, shoes and hygiene products for clients. We have an outpatient/Drug Court program in East Pasadena. A Drug Court program in Los Angeles. A men's and a women's lock-up facility for men and women mandated to jail. And finally, we have three sober living buildings in Pasadena. Huge growth from the six person tract house in Sun Valley where it all begain.

Today we had the honor of welcoming Dr. Jose Gomez, President of Pasadena City College, to Impact. Moments like this remind us that community is not just an idea. It is people learning from one another, and recognizing that our missions overlap in real and meaningful ways.

Both Impact and Pasadena City College invest in human potential. We believe in second chances. We believe in education as a pathway to stability and dignity. We believe that people can rebuild their lives when the right support is within reach.

A sincere thank you to Dr. Gomez for taking the time to visit, listen, and share space with our team. Partnerships like this strengthen the entire community and help our patients move forward with hope and opportunity.

Here is to the good work we do when we find common ground.

Our Christmas donor tree is starting to full up, but we still have a long way to go.

Every ornament represents a gift that will go directly to a child or family spending the holidays at Impact. These moments matter more than we can say. A parent in treatment gets to hand their child a present. A family feels seen. A season that could feel heavy becomes a little lighter.

If you are able, we would love your help. Every contribution becomes part of a story of hope for a family working hard to rebuild their lives.

Thank you for helping us bring some Christmas joy to our community.

This is Stephanie.

For two years Stephanie had not seen her little boy, Danny. This was first time she held him again while reunifying with him. It was the first time she felt like a mother again.

Stephanie told us something we carry with us.

“Impact gave me the ability to be a mother again. This picture means the world to me. When I look at it and see how happy he was to be in my arms it makes me realize how grateful I am to have gotten a second chance.”

Next week is Giving Tuesday. This is what giving means to us at Impact.

It is not a day about numbers. It is about families who find their way back to one another. It is about the quiet courage of people who choose recovery and rebuild their lives piece by piece.

When you support Impact you help create moments like this. You help mothers and fathers come home.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for helping families heal.

Today, our Impact Family gathered in the truest spirit of gratitude. We opened our doors and our hearts as families came together to share a Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones. For many, it was the very first time experiencing this moment clear minded, present, and connected.

Watching parents, children, siblings, and partners embrace, laugh, and sit together over a warm meal reminded us why this work matters so deeply. These moments of healing are not small. They are sacred. They are the beginnings of restored relationships and renewed hope.

Our staff showed up strong, as they always do. From sunrise to the last good bye, they prepared a day filled with care, dignity, and love, creating a holiday experience that some have never had before and others have not felt in many years. Their commitment to transforming lives extends far beyond treatment. It is the heart and soul of what makes Impact a home.

This Thanksgiving, we feel an overwhelming sense of Impact Gratitude. We feel hope for our residents who choose courage every day, for the families who continue to believe in them, and for our dedicated staff whose compassion brings these moments to life.

From our Impact Family to yours, we wish you a warm, hopeful, and loving filled Thanksgiving. 🧡🍁

As we move into the heart of the holiday season, Impact is opening up a few meaningful ways for our community to show support.

Every year our patients and their children receive Christmas gifts from people who believe in our mission. It is one of the most uplifting parts of this work and a reminder that kindness changes lives in real time.

If you are looking for a simple way to help someone feel remembered and valued, we have FOUR giving options this year:

Gifts for Patients’ Children
Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/registry/TR/7939a587-261d-49ce-ba0a-77aaddcdde49

Celebrating Courage and Partnership at Drug Court Graduation

Yesterday was a different day for some of our population at Impact. While the rain fell on most of Los Angeles, there was a group of patients from Impact that were getting to witness a milestone in their journey of recovery.

These graduates completed the Drug Court Program, a rigorous journey that asks for honesty, accountability, and a belief that transformation is possible. They showed all of that and more.

Impact has a long history with Drug Court. We were the first treatment center invited to participate when the program was founded. That early partnership shaped our identity. For decades we have worked side by side with judges, attorneys, probation officers, and clinical teams to make sure people receive treatment instead of punishment. That collaboration has saved lives and helped countless men and women begin again.

Our relationship with the courts is not an accessory to our work. It is one of the strongest parts of our process. It allows people to move from crisis toward stability with support, structure, and a team that believes in them. Every successful graduation reminds us why this partnership matters. It shows the power of community, second chances, and the courage of individuals who choose recovery even when the path feels steep.

To the graduates, thank you for letting us walk with you. Your strength inspires our staff, your peers, and everyone who witnesses your progress.

We are grateful to be part of your story.

Run to Live.

A simple tattoo on one of our runners from last year's Impact 5K. Those three words sum up what this event is all about.

On February 22nd, 2026, we're bringing back our 5K. It's more than a race. It's a celebration of recovery and the brave men and women that keep moving foward, one step at a time.

At Impact, we've seen how powerful the act of movement can be. Running, walking, showing up. It all matters. Because for so many of us, living fully starts with taking that first step.

Join us this year as we run, walk, dance, and celebrate life in recovery. Because we don't just run for fun.

We run to live.💙

At Impact, recovery isn't just about what we overcome, it's about rediscovering joy, laughter, and community.

Every Halloween, our staff and our patients celebrate together. Behind the costumes are men and women in recovery, some new to it all and some that have been walking this path for decades.

They are people who once thought that life couldn't be fun without drugs or alcohol. Days like this remind us otherwise.

We dress up not just for the fun of it, but to show those new to the process what's possible: a life where you can laugh, belong, and be fully present.

That's the kind of Impact we believe in.

This past weekend, members of the Impact Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center team presented at the CCAPP National Recovery Capital Conference in Newport Beach, joining treatment leaders and recovery advocates from across the state to share ideas, research, and stories that strengthen our collective mission.

For more than 50 years, Impact has worked to expand what recovery means. From treatment and reentry support to leadership development and workforce training. Events like this remind us how powerful it is when the recovery community comes together to learn, grow, and keep pushing the field forward.

We’re proud of our team, our patients, and the partners who make this work possible every day.

This morning, members of the Impact team joined Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo and the Pasadena Police Department for the annual Chief’s Breakfast.

Impact is proud to have a strong partnership with the Pasadena Police Department. One built on shared values of community, compassion, and collaboration. Together, through initiatives like Impact Alliance, we’re working to create more pathways to recovery, reduce recidivism, and strengthen trust between first responders and the individuals we serve.

Moments like this remind us that real change happens when people come together across systems to focus on what matters most: helping people heal and rebuild their lives.

🌊 Beach Day is coming! 🏖️

At Impact we take our patients to the beach for a day of fun, connection, and a reminder that recovery is full of beautiful moments.

This year, we’re hoping to send them with something simple but meaningful: their own beach towel. A towel they can wrap up in after a swim, sit on in the sand, and take home as a memory of the day.

If you’d like to help, we’ve made it super easy. Just click our Amazon Wish List and send a towel directly to Impact. Every towel you buy will make a patient’s Beach Day extra special.
