If you build it, they will come.
Several years ago Impact built a program to directly address the direction and behaviors of our recently incarcerated patients. The PICS (Post Incarceration Services) Program has been granting second chances to men and women under the guidance of our Community Engagement Director David Moore.
On April 22nd & 23rd, thanks to the support and recognition of the Amity Foundation and the Justice, Care & Opportunities Department, Impact was able to show the world the scope and effectiveness of how we can help those who are re-entering society.
PICS Summit: The Impact Model welcomed other service providers, community partners in law enforcement and academia, government officials, and Impact supporters to a two-day conference in Long Beach. The goal was to educate and motivate. To showcase interventions that Impact has put in place, and to help light a path for anyone else that would like to join us.
Our deepest thanks to those who came out, and a promise to the community that we will see you next year.
