Gulf Islands Dentistry is honored to sponsor Dr. Taylor's son, John Paul, and his Pascagoula Youth Baseball team, led by Head Coach "Big" John Paul Taylor.

Last night, the team brought home the win at the Kirkpatrick Tournament! This tournament means even more as it helps raise funds for the Kirkpatrick Scholarship, supporting future opportunities for local students.

After more nearly four decades of dedication, heart, and leadership, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone at Gulf Islands Dentistry — Sheila Pennington is retiring!

Sheila joined our practice when she was just 18 years old, and from day one, she has been part of the foundation that built Gulf Islands Dentistry into the thriving practice it is today. Over the years, she has worn just about every hat imaginable — dental assistant, front desk coordinator, business manager, and so much more. No matter the role, Sheila brought professionalism, loyalty, and a deep commitment to our patients and our team.

To say she will be missed is an understatement. Sheila’s knowledge, steady leadership, and genuine care for everyone who walked through our doors have shaped this practice in ways that will last for generations.

We were excited to celebrate her at her retirement party at one of our favorite restaurants, Czak's in Pascagoula, surrounded by friends, coworkers, and family who have been part of her journey. It was a night at a beautiful venue filled with gratitude, laughter, fabulous food, and so many wonderful memories.

Sheila, thank you for the decades you’ve poured into this practice and this community. Congratulations on your retirement — you’ve more than earned it. We wish you all the joy, rest, and new adventures this next chapter brings! 💙🦷
