To help decrease symptoms within our community New Dawn Counseling in Joint Venture with Lycan Counseling will by Providing a free weekly support group series called Embracing Empathy for social Isolation.

COVID 19 has come with mental heath concerns such as increased stress, panic and anxiety. social isolation has increased these symptoms in many individuals. Being fearless doesn't mean you don't have any fear. Those who are fearless just manage their fear differently. One way to face your fears and become fearless yourself is to respect Fear. The role of fear is to warn and protect, not to scare and prevent. Understand that fear is not an enemy. It is an ally that guides them through high-stakes situations and ensures goal achievement. Whatever is stopping you from achieving your goals is there to tell you there will be some obstacles but you can get through them as long as you respect the process as you move forward. You've got this!

When we're depressed, it's hard to feel good about ourselves. We're quick to see our own limitations and slow to remember our strengths. One way we've seen an up lift in depression is by helping others. Here are some ways to help others, and in turn, help ourselves:

-Be supportive of others. Let them know you are happy or excited for them.

-Have compassion. Understand that others make mistakes too and they could be going through the same thing you are. We all mess up sometimes.

-Make a positive difference. Ask someone to lunch, call a friend, send a simple "how are you doing?" text. The little things could help turn someones day around.

-Deliver constructive comments. Your words are powerful! Just letting someone know they matter, that you feel their pain or just offering a simple compliment could make someone feel better.

Amid this pandemic many are worried about food, health, and shelter. Many feel that their life is spiraling out of control. both emotionally and financially.

Those struggling with debilitating negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions would not tell you that its a romantic notion we should aspire to as a healthy individual. Transform your thinking to positivity and health with self care and knowledge of symptoms you might have.
