Position available at large, gorgeous, local horse breeding and training facility. Need resident reproductive veterinarian to live on-site in one of the very nice 3 Bedroom homes on the property. DETAILS:
Resident Veterinarian position available at leading breeding and training farm in the central coast region of California. Responsibilities include all fertility and reproductive work as well as general veterinary care of the farm's seasonal and permanent resident horses. The farm stands 8 stallions and is the permanent home of approximately 450 horses.
The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in reproduction medicine/ theriogenology, the ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients, and the ability to work long hours during breeding and foaling season. The successful candidate will have an understanding of and enjoy working in the breeding industry.
All necessary equipment and supplies are provided, including a veterinary work vehicle. the farm has an in-house lab and pharmacy, ultrasound, and digital radiography equipment. the farm veterinarian will be supported by experienced farm personnel and by referral access to nearby internationally recognized equine hospitals.
Compensation will include a three-bedroom home, health insurance, and a CE allowance, in addition to other benefits. Salary will be based on experience (starts at over 100,000).
