PT’s can treat a lot more than you might think‼️ Which is why most states allow you to seek PT treatments without a doctor’s referral, meaning you can skip the wait and seek care from us for any of these issues, and more.
Want to know more about these…
1. Hand numbness with over head activities is often caused by TOS (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome). Placing your arms in certain positions can create tension on the nerves or cause compression decreasing blood flow. Skilled therapists can help find these regions and teach you how to release them.
2. Limited in your sport from an old injury or nagging pain? With a full body assessment by a trained therapist, we can explore all the potential causes of any of these and more. We believe this approach will not only improve your symptoms, but has the potential to create more power and precision in your game.
3. Need help finding your core again after c-section or abdominal surgeries? You may visibly heal, but your muscular system also went through trauma and often needs help remembering how to function again after a surgery… enter PT!
4. Sprained ankles are one of these most common MSK injuries and medical advice is often the RICE method, with no follow up after the acute phase subsides. There are some things you should, and should not, do to help on that road to recovery. The area may need to be stabilized externally. We also want to maintain our surrounding muscle strength and address compensatory strategies developed that will lead to issues down the road. Always see your PT after a ligament strain!
5. Maintaining non optimal postures for most of your day may not only cause muscle imbalances, but can change neural pathways that in turn change how we move. Repeat again and it leads to articular degeneration, aka arthritis. Then that pain in your neck can turn into frequent headaches, pain in your shoulder blade, or numbness in your pinky. Let’s stop that before it happens!
At R&R we strive to restore beautiful movement patterns and create the potential for pain free living.
