"High Stakes and High Fun" with the seniors at Chimes Terrace! Continuing the excitement of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont, we baked two delicious Bourbon Pecan Pies and whipped up a savory pimento cheese spread. While the food kept us fueled, we tested our luck with a Horse Racing Game. With chips flying, cards in hand, and the lucky (or not-so-lucky!) roll of the dice, everyone rooted for their own horses. The dice were unpredictable, but with so much great food and laughter, everyone walked away a winner! 🐎🏆🥧

It’s been a beautiful, busy start to Memorial Day Weekend at Pataskala Oaks Care Center! Our amazing craft ladies helped residents create colorful flowers that completely brightened up the building. 🌸 We also loved spreading some local gratitude by dropping off fresh donuts to Fire Station 401 (who was hosting Stations 402, 403, and 404) and the Police Station to thank them for everything they do to keep us safe over this busy holiday weekend. 🍩🚒👮‍♂️

We hope everyone has a wonderful time enjoying family and friends while honoring those we've lost. All of us at POCC are incredibly thankful for our Veterans and the immense sacrifices they made for our freedom and our beautiful country! 🇺🇸❤️

The sweet smell of Bourbon Pecan Pie and the thrill of the races—that’s how we celebrate Triple Crown season at Pataskala Oaks Care Center! 🏆

With the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness in the books, and the Belmont Stakes just around the corner, we are right in the heart of racing season. While our homemade pie was in the oven, the residents brought the racetrack to life right here in the center with some high-energy games. There's nothing quite like cheering on your favorite horse and going head-to-head for the win with great company. 🏎️🐴

Sweet treats and even sweeter memories! 🥰 Pataskala Oaks residents enjoyed a beautiful tea party, made possible by the wonderful team at Lori's Bake Shoppe, LLC. They generously donated cupcakes and helped residents decorate them with their own creative flair. It was a delicious, laugh-filled day that we won't soon forget! 🧁🫖

Yeehaw! We had a rootin’ tootin’ good time celebrating Wild West Wednesday during Nursing Home Week! Our residents’ hearts were stolen by four precious baby goats from The Cooper's Knoll Farm and three adorable baby chicks from our very own Jennifer Schmidt. From cuddles to smiles, it was a joy to see everyone interacting with these sweet animals. A huge thank you to the Cooper Knoll team and Jennifer for making this day so special!

We had a wonderful day at Pataskala Oaks Care Center hosting Glen and Sally Funk from Pet Partners! Their sweet Yellow Lab, Ellie, was the star of the show, visiting with our residents and filling the halls with wagging tails and bright smiles. It was a truly heartwarming experience for everyone involved—a huge thank you to the Funks for sharing Ellie’s gentle spirit with us! 🐾💛✨

We hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! Pataskala Oaks Care Center celebrated our resident mothers with a special brunch to show them just how much they are cherished. It was a beautiful day of honor and community, made even brighter by Griffin’s Floral Design & Wineshop, who generously donated stunning pink long-stem carnations for the occasion.
