Today Braylee received the Nicklaus Youth Spirit Award from Nationwide and the Nicklaus family for her resilience and positive attitude while being a patient at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We are very proud of her and she was honored to be nominated and chosen for such an amazing award!

💛 International Childhood Cancer Day 💛

Today we honor the warriors — the kids who fight battles most people will never see. And today, I celebrate Braylee.

There was a time when hospital visits, treatments, and scan days felt overwhelming and unknown. But if you know Braylee, you know one thing for sure — she faces everything with strength, grace, and a heart that refuses to give up. Even during treatment, she kept dancing, kept smiling, and kept showing us what true resilience looks like.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital became more than a place for care — it became a second family filled with incredible doctors, nurses, child life specialists, and therapists who walked beside her every step of the way. What once brought anxiety now brings excitement as she returns for checkups, stronger and brighter each time.

Braylee has now moved into her 6-month scans and continues to thrive — finishing middle school, chasing her passions, and living life with a perspective far beyond her years.

Childhood cancer changes a family forever, but it also reveals courage, community, and hope in ways we never imagined. Today we stand with every child and family fighting this battle.

Oncology check up was today! Bloodwork looked great and a nice low low AFP means she is still cancer free!

She found out today… she only has 3 more ct scans (January, June and January) and she will be done with those! She is not a fan of ct scans so that was nice to hear.

Still waiting for bloodwork but scans looked great with no signs of disease!

Logan on the other hand, all the pun intended, will have an outpatient surgery with fluoroscopy for the foreign object removal 🙃

Landed in Columbus last night from a fantastic (and much needed) beach trip to Anna Maria Island.

Today is scan day! Headed to Nationwide Children's Hospital now and first up is ct (she just loves that contrast drink 😂) followed by Oncology check up. Prayers and good thoughts as these days have everyone’s minds all over the place.

She has a special guest joining today… her brother Logan, who was stung by a catfish while on vacation and it left the barb in his hand 🙃 so he will be seen while we are there today too.

It’s been a while since we’ve updated! Braylee Kate is thriving and living life. It’s a season of finding herself, changing up sports and studios. 7th grade is officially over 🥳 her hair is growing and getting curlier by the minute 😝 she had some highlights out in and her first haircut since she got hair again! She has been living her best summer life with her friends and family. Next scan day is July 1st. Prayers and good vibes welcomed 🫶🏻🎗️
