PBJ Connections is in a time of change, which I wanted to share with you transparently. This is the last week PBJ Connections will be partnering with Taco Bella Farm and the wonderful steward of that beautiful place, Beth Herzog. Over the past 12 years, we have partnered to host sessions, workshops, fundraisers, and more. Beth has helped us in many capacities over the years, and we have so much gratitude for everything she and that amazing herd of horses have done in collaboration with us over the past decade. I am grateful we have shared the same path for so many years and look forward to seeing how each of us continues to grow.
This shift has meant adjustments for our staff and clients, and we are thankful for the support and understanding we’ve received. I want to assure everyone that all of our clients are continuing to receive the high level of care they have always experienced, and we have been able to accommodate them all at our Jug Street location in Pataskala while continuing services in Galena. I feel gratitude for the employees, contractors, and clients who have supported this move.
Then there is our amazing Board of Directors, who have given hours of time to help us get to where we are today and have helped us grow even stronger. The Board is a group of volunteers that helps steer the ship of any non-profit, and our group is full of dedication. So much gratitude.
I also feel much gratitude for Glenda Childress and Dale Milton, who are accommodating more traffic at their farm; for Joy Endrulas and her husband, Eric, for all the support in moving, fixing things, working odd hours, and for the willingness Joy had to literally move her desk to make room for therapists and clients; for the many, many volunteers and contractors who keep showing up to help move things, set things up, and tear things down even in the middle of the afternoon in August when we are all sweating. And I also feel gratitude for our supporters who are showing up for us as we shift, grow, and change, and who continue to support us in what feels like an uncertain global time so we can keep doing the good work we do.
To all of you, know that I feel full gratitude to all of you, and curiosity for where the future will lead. Even though change can be difficult at times, it can also lead to opportunities. So thank you to everyone for trusting us!
