John Maxwell certainly knows how to drive a point home. And in this statement there is so much personal growth and leadership gold! 🪙
When I moved to my farm in October 2002 I had no idea that I even had potential, much less a Purpose!
I was exhausted, afraid, overwhelmed by loss and heartbreak, and completely unsure of what was to come in my life. Life was Unstable!
I had moved to my farm in the hills of Schenectady County with my four horses, two dogs, three kids part time and an order of protection. 😢 Life was Unstable!
I was Not Equipped to take on a farm, much less access my purpose and potential! I felt defeated and afraid. Life was Unstable!
I found something however. It was a flicker of Hope that I would be OK and find relief from the anxiety, depression, panic and grief that had a hold on me.
Gosh life was REALLY Hard back 20 years ago!
One cold winter day I felt completely discouraged and hopeless. The pipes were broken in my barn and I was bringing water to my horses from my house. If you haven't physically carried water from your home to your animals in a barn, let me tell you, it's Not Fun! It Really Stinks!
My already exhausted body, mind and emotions Lost It. I collapsed in a snowbank to a storm of limited beliefs and discouraging self talk. Hopelessness was becoming a regular feeling and I had to shake it off, or it would defeat me!
That moment was transformative in my journey with my horses. My Vision Was Ignited! 💥
I found a Life Coach who was compassionate about my situation, but also would Not let me have a mindset of a victim or defeated attitude about my future! Thank you! Life was about to gain Stability! 😊
Within a year I was attending graduate school to earn my master's degree in social work. I had traveled to Arizona from NY to train in equine assisted learning and psychotherapy. I knew without a shadow of a doubt that my life had Purpose, Potential and Possibilities! 💜🐎
You really don't want me to write 20 years of reflection about my journey with people and equines on FB. The miracles that have happened in My Stable Place, that once did not even have running water, will soon become an inspiring, encouraging, and motivating book!! The book IS coming, hold tight!

Over the past 16 years of my life my purpose has been saving the lives of formerly at-risk and slaughter bound equines and facilitating equine-guided emotionally supportive programs. My clients have been people who desire and deserve to positively transform their lives. They want Stability!
I haven't done it alone. No one person can accomplish a movement of magnitude! I attracted people to My Vision, because it was a vision with authentic purpose and possibilities!
