We recorded another podcast this week, hosted by Dr. Kevin Park, CHP Hospice Physician with our partners at Okuley's Pharmacy - pharmacists Kieu Okuley and Lauren Bosch, and DME manager, Konnor Okuley. Their conversation delivered helpful insight on the role of medication in providing comfort to hospice patients. 🤲🏼 Blessing of the Hands in Paulding County this past week! 🤍 Grateful for the Nurses and healthcare workers who care for our communities with compassion every single day. Pastor Steve blessed CHP Paulding staff, Paulding County Hospital, Gardens of Paulding, Vancrest of Payne, Antwerp Manor, Antwerp school nurse, not pictured: Country Inn, Wayne Trace school nurse 🫶🏻

“I can't begin to put into words the joy from this experience again this year. Before doing this, I would have never thought a 30 second prayer could be so powerful. Looking up after the prayer and seeing the tears and the look of peace on their faces. The smiles, the hugs, the expressions of gratitude for CHP doing this for the nurses. Supervisors giving thanks for us coming in and blessing their staff. Dozens telling us that it was just what they needed. One nurse said she felt like a heavy weight had been lifted off her shoulders. These are the reasons we do this. I am very thankful that God is allowing me to be His vessel of blessing to others. God putting us in the right place at the right time. And I am proud to be a part the of the CHP team. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this.” -Hospice Chaplain Steve Haddix

A recent university study said 32% of adults age 50+ know very little or not much at all about hospice. This video explores hospice care and explains the benefits available for most patients and their caregivers.
