When I was over 300 lbs everything I did hurt.
But I was committed to getting healthy (not thin) and movement had to be part of that.
I started in a pool. Nothing hurt- double the resistance, slow and steady walking in water, calisthenics and aerobics in water, and then laps….
Then I started walking, because a pool was not always available. It felt so good to walk my dog longer and longer and not have it feel like an effort.
My weight loss journey was almost 15 years of ups and downs, different programs and taking it in phases as my body and different health issues kept me in various phases of illness and healing. I never gave up. Walking was my therapy.
Then came Reiki, the final layer to my healing, and my final 50 lbs came off with ease - like the negative emotional energy I had carried around FOR SO LONG, finally let go of me.
Am I perfect? No. Am I healthy. Yes. Do I feel good? Yes, amazing!!!
