π₯° Happy Friday!
Introducing Ryan Martin at HTI who makes your job of hiring easier!
Definitely worth getting to know this great leader!
π₯ 1. Describe leadership in 3 words? Authentic, Empowering, Strategic
π₯ 2. Where have you seen the most growth in your own leadership journey?
During my career, I have had the opportunity to learn from multiple different types of leaders, who have all played a part in creating the person I am today. My style of leadership is inclusive, authentic, and collaborative. To my detriment sometimes, I have always been one to try and do things on my own, and not really ask for help when it wouldβve benefitted me at times. As Iβve grown and learned from others, I have understood the value of putting your pride to the side sometimes and just admitting that you need help with something.
π₯ 3. What is your current toughest leadership challenge in the HR (or) industry?
Personally, I would say the toughest challenge at the moment for me would be trying to assimilate into new surroundings. I have recently taken on a new territory in the lowcountry part of the state, where I am not familiar with the area, so I am learning more and more day by day to be able to help my team and grow this region.
π₯ 4. What leader (dead or alive) would you love to have coffee with?
I would love to sit and talk with Greg Popovich, former Head Coach of the San Antonio Spurs. The reason why βPopβ has always intrigued me is because of his demeanor and his ability to win at a super high rate, while not being the flashiest, or not having the βbest teamβ every year, not being in a βLarge Marketβ, etc. He has earned the respect of his peers, players, front office staff, etc from all across the National Basketball Association by doing things the right way and sticking to his truth. Coach Popovich was someone who always was honest with everyone around him: players, coaches, media, etc. and I believe that was the sole thing that made people respect him the way they did.
