Please join us in welcoming Maggie Pelton to Gray Man Gallery!

Maggie works just down the road at Hobcaw Barony, where she’s a research technician with the Baruch Marine Field Lab. She brings her love of the natural world—and her marine science background—into every brushstroke.

Her paintings celebrate oyster reefs, shorebirds, and the quiet magic of our Lowcountry marshes while highlighting the research being done to protect them. Come see her stunning work on display now! 💚

Maggie Pelton is a rising Lowcountry artist whose work lives at the intersection of science and creativity. ✨ The secret’s out—and what a night it was! ✨ At the Maritime Museum, our very own Jeanne O’Neal was revealed as the 2025 Featured Artist of the Georgetown Wooden Boat Show (Georgetown, SC) 🎨 In front of a packed house, Jeanne Moore O'Neal unveiled her painting and shared that her hope was to create something fun, happy, and worthy of Georgetown’s pride 🩷Judging by the cheers and smiles all around, we think she more than delivered.🙌

We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate this exciting honor with Jeanne and our wonderful community!
