Newsletter is out.... We are sending a Farewell Gratitude to our amazing Diana. Diana has been our Perinatal Resource Coordinator at Urban Perinatal Education Center since last summer. As she awaits her decision for medical school (future Physician) its feels bittersweet. When we asked Diana about her experience here she said, "I don't think I will ever get another experience like this one. The staff, the community, the members is something I will always treasure." Her last day is May 6th, if you would like to stop in or you can send her well wishes email at diana at urbanperinatal dot org.

Our Programs Mgr Keesler C. Bates in community: Thank you So much to the RIBLIA Caucus for inviting us to your Black History Month Celebration. It was a Beautiful event. From the beginning when Miss Alisha Pina sang. The powerful poem by Miss Tori , and speech by Senator Tiara Mack, the knowledge shared by Dr. Christopher West and dance performance by local youths (which I missed unfortunately). What makes it even more amazing and beautiful is the fact that , during such an outrageous time in this political climate, we came together for this joyous occasion. The food that was provided by Black Beans PVD was delicious and I always love seeing the familiar faces of community members and Black Business owners.
I appreciate having the privilege to be part of such a special night.
