“We Belong Here, and We’re Here to Stay,” is this year’s Disability Pride Month theme.

It sends a clear message: people with disabilities are a vital part of every community—and always have been.

Disability Pride Month happens every July and is a time to recognize the history, culture, and achievements of people with disabilities. People with disabilities don’t need to prove their worth or ask permission to belong. They already do. In schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and families —people with disabilities are leading, creating, contributing, and thriving.
