That’s a wrap on Day 1!

RI Support Network, in partnership with Roger Williams University EXT , officially launched its very first Community Health Worker (CHW) Training for staff—and what an incredible start!

Tomorrow, we welcome the public for the next phase of this exciting journey to strengthen the CHW workforce across Rhode Island.

A special thank you to Peter Thomas, Director of Partnerships and Innovation, Dean Gena Bianca of the School of Continuing Studies, Jeff Wolfsberg, Rhode Island Program Director Recovery Friendly Workplace, and our instructor Lina Roman for welcoming our first cohort of students and facilitating such a powerful learning space.

This is just the beginning of something amazing. Thank you to the nearly 60 students who registered for days 1 & 2—we’re so excited for what’s ahead!

Today, we celebrate taking a well-deserved break from house chores — because everyone deserves rest and support! At RI Support Network, we understand that for many individuals, housework isn’t just tiring — it can also be physically difficult due to age, disability, or chronic illness.

That’s why our Community Health Workers help connect Medicaid-eligible clients with Homemaker Services — compassionate, trained professionals who assist with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, laundry, and more.
