Seasons change:
Each season comes with elements of the natural world, like us, some elements are stronger some elements are weaker. Learning what elements are heightened during certain seasons of the year can help us to stay balanced to stay healthy..
Spring is Kapha season , a time for the Earth and water element . Think of spring is a time for growth. The Earth is waking up. We have our spring showers to water everything‘s growing and changing this is the true example of the Kapha element .
So how do we use this knowledge from Ayurveda to help ourselves stay healthy and balanced during these change of seasons?
Some of the ways we can stay, balanced and healthy is by simply adjusting our routines and the foods we eat. Think of what our grandmothers did spring cleaning change the curtains, vacuum the house open the windows they would eat a lot of greens. This is the same type of cleansing that we do for our body so let’s clean changing our diet to having things like dandelion greens arugula, add ginger in foods that help activate the system and clean out the stagnation of the long winter..
