I almost didn’t post this, but I feel like this needs to be addressed. We walked into our Payette location this morning and my oldest daughter found two of the three cleaning stations in disarray. It was very disheartening for the kids to see this. Freshly tri-folded towels unfolded and thrown back into the cleaning carts. As a family owned business, we spend hours every single day washing and carefully folding towels to keep the gym clean and welcoming for our members. Seeing that undone was honestly frustrating, and our son had to stop and refold every single one.
On top of this, while we reviewed camera footage we saw another parent bring their young child to the gym later that day. That child was using a lot of the gym equipment and was handling dumbbells weights while laying on a bench. God forbid if that child dropped those weights on themselves - there is just too much risk of injury as everything is weighted and heavy in the facility.
We love kids! We have three of our own, but this is exactly why we have a strict no children policy in the gym. 13 year olds and above are able to get gym memberships but have to come with a parent until they turn 15. It’s not just about messes, it is also about safety. A gym is not a place for playing, and there is equipment everywhere that can seriously hurt a child. It’s also not realistic for a parent to watch their child’s every move while working out. And on top of that, there are real liability concerns if a child gets hurt, especially if they were brought in WITHOUT our knowledge or permission.
For the safety of everyone and to protect our space, this policy will be enforced, absolutely NO children in the gym, unless they’re at least 13 years old and have a gym membership.
We appreciate those of you who respect the space, the rules, and the effort that goes into keeping this gym running for our community.
Sincerely,
The Rose Family
