The Granite Dells Park Complex is already alive with movement and community spirit. Even as construction continues, the park is hosting exciting games and events, from pickle-ball rallies and team practices under the lights to sand court showdowns to football scrimmages and soccer practices. It’s quickly becoming a place where teams, friends, and families come together to play, compete, and connect.

In recent weeks, the park has welcomed company tournaments and high school events, filling the fields and courts with energy, laughter, and teamwork. High school athletes are sharpening their skills and building camaraderie, all with the stunning backdrop of Granite Dells and Payson’s natural beauty.

With every bit of progress made, the vision for Granite Dells Park comes more clearly into focus. Each new element that is completed adds to what the park can offer, and it’s thrilling to see it serving the community’s needs, even as it comes together.

We are grateful for the community’s excitement and support, and we look forward to welcoming even more activity as the park grows.

PLEASE NOTE: The Park Complex remains an active construction site and is not yet open to public use.

Another successful year is blooming at the Payson Community Garden!

Initially envisioned as an outgrowth of the Payson Area Food Drive, started in 2008 by former town council member Su Connell, the garden was founded in February 2009 through a collaboration between the Payson First Church of the Nazarene and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Designed as a self-sustaining, community-driven project, the garden continues to thrive. What started as an interfaith initiative to teach gardeners how to produce healthy, locally grown organic produce has flourished. By offering automatically watered individual plots to local gardeners—protected from elk, javelina, and other wildlife—the organic crops grown and donated to local food banks have turned into a vital resource for our Payson community. To date, gardeners have supplied local food banks with over 150,000 pounds of organically grown produce.

Throughout the year, gardeners cultivate not only their plots but also a sense of community, sharing knowledge and produce. Their garden plots, free of chemicals and pesticides, use organic methods to ensure healthy crops. In addition to providing fresh, nutritious food for local food banks, the garden also offers free public gardening classes each spring, teaching individuals how to grow produce in the Payson area’s unique climate.

The Payson Community Garden remains a space for connection, education, and service. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting, they invite you to join them in this year’s continued success as they teach and support the growing and sharing of healthy, organic food, both at home and at our hometown Payson Community Garden.

The 2025 Women’s Wellness Forum was an unforgettable day of laughter, learning, and community connection! Held on April 26th at the Matazal Casino, women from all over Payson gathered to explore this year’s theme: Harmony Within – Achieving Balance from the Inside Out.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of engaging presentations on topics like gut health, blood pressure, and dermatology, all delivered by knowledgeable and passionate speakers. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy from start to finish.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was our world-class comedian, who had the entire room laughing and brought a fun, refreshing element to the wellness experience.

The event wasn’t just informative—it was uplifting and joyful, reminding us of the power of women coming together to support one another.

We are incredibly thankful to our presenters, our amazing attendees, and the Matazal Casino for making the forum such a meaningful success.

Thank you, Payson, for another incredible year! We’re already looking forward to next time.
