Finishing off client Christmas cards!
(If you don't receive one, I most likely have your barn address and not a home address!)

I love doing this every year and taking a little recap stroll through all of my appointments. It's so fun to see people that have been with me for 5 years, it's fun to see when a family has over 70-100 visits with me. It's fun to remember the family additions (both human and animal) that I have gotten to be a part of. It's always an honor and a pleasure to see each and every one of you!

Let’s have an honest conversation about animal obesity.

This is not in any way to shame owners. I know that most obese animals are actually loved too much through human food and treats. Just last week I saw a dog 30 lbs over weight and a horse 200 lbs over weight with similar issues.

When an animal carries extra weight, every single step loads their joints, stresses their spine, and forces their muscles to work overtime. As an animal chiropractor, I see the effects immediately:
• shortened stride
• tight, overworked muscles
• painful compensations
• decreased range of motion
• faster joint degeneration

And here’s the tough truth ⬇️
Chiropractic care can help… but it can’t overpower chronic excess weight.
Adjustments give relief, but the body is still fighting uphill if it’s carrying more than it was built for.

The heaviest cost? Longevity.
Overweight animals live shorter lives, sometimes by years. Their joints break down faster, inflammation rises, mobility drops, and their quality of life fades long before it should.

But here’s the hopeful part:
✨ Weight loss is one of the most powerful “treatments” for their comfort and lifespan.
Paired with chiropractic care, appropriate exercise, and smart nutrition, the results are incredible. Happier movement, less pain, better adjustments, and longer, more vibrant lives.

This isn’t about blame.
It’s about giving them the best chance to live as long and comfortably as possible!

This week's mood: got greeted by a welcome mat that said,
“The dogs only bark at ugly people.”
I don’t know who’s funnier, my clients or their dogs?
Either way, I’m winning in the client department 😂

✨ Exciting News! ✨
I just wrapped up two incredible weeks in California completing my ATS Acuscope & Myopulse training with Equinessence And WOW, my brain (and heart) are full after seeing and hearing what the possibilities are!

These FDA-approved microcurrent systems are absolute game changers for tough cases as well as wellness expansion. From wound healing, to soft tissue rehab, to performance maintenance, I learned advanced techniques that will take my care to an entirely new level.

I now just have to complete my examination process to finalize my full certification and I’m so close! 🙌

The best part? These systems pair beautifully with chiropractic care, giving me powerful, precise tools to help the body repair, balance, and perform at its best. ⚡🐴

I’m so excited for what’s coming next.
2026 is going to be AMAZING… stay tuned! 💛

⭐️ Animal Chiropractic: It’s More Than Just the Spine ✨

When most people think “chiropractic,” they picture the spine…
But in animals, the entire body works as one connected system, that’s why I assess and adjust both the spine and the extremities at every session (if possible.)

Here’s why👇

🔹 Movement starts at the feet
A horse’s stride or a dog’s gait is influenced by how their hooves/paws, joints, and soft tissues absorb impact. If a knee, hock, or shoulder, are not moving correctly, the spine will always compensate.

🔹 Extremity issues create spinal issues
Tight shoulders, sore hocks, or uneven loading in the legs can cause compensation through the body.
You can adjust the spine all day, but if the limb problem isn’t addressed, the issues will keep occurring.

🔹 Performance + comfort depend on whole-body function
Athletic horses and active dogs rely on clean joint motion from nose to tail. When every joint moves freely, the nervous system communicates clearly, muscles fire correctly, and movement becomes smoother and more efficient.

🔹 A balanced body = a happier, healthier animal. Better posture, fewer compensations, improved mobility, and a more comfortable animal overall.

✨ Spine + extremity adjustments = full-body chiropractic care.
Because your horse or dog deserves to move, feel, and perform at their very best, every step of the way!

Here at Peach Creek, my mission is simple: to be the source of help for you and your animals. Or to know exactly who can!

It’s been a while since I’ve shared this, and with some new faces here, now feels like the perfect time to post an updated list of my go-to certified animal chiropractic referral partners throughout Utah.

This is NOT a complete list, and I often refer to DCs because of the volume of owner/animal adjustments I offer. There are several incredible certified DVMs in Utah as well. I’m grateful to work in a community with so many skilled professionals!

By area:
Dr. Alissa Grover with Head to Tail Animal Chiropractic based in Davis County (Bountiful) and Dr. Jasmin Collins also Davis County based.
Dr. Kinal Patel with Northshore Animal Chiropractic and Dr. Corey Sondrup DC with Alpine Animal Chiropractic based around the Wastach/Summit regions.

If there’s ever a time when I can’t get to your area quickly enough, or if I no longer service a certain region (sadly, it happens), these are the trusted colleagues I send people to without hesitation.

At the end of the day, I think I can speak for all of us when I say: our shared goal is to help your animals feel and function their best. We happily refer to one another when needed, because collaboration always leads to better care. ❤️🐴🐶

If you ever need support or aren’t sure who to reach out to when I am weeks out for an appointment, I’m always here to guide you in the right direction!

Myth: Chiropractic care is only for injured animals.

Truth: While chiropractic care can absolutely help animals recover from injuries, that’s only part of what it does. Regular adjustments help maintain proper biomechanics, improve mobility, enhance performance, and even prevent future problems.

Just like people, animals benefit from PROACTIVE care, not just REACTIVE care.

Chiropractic helps keep the body balanced and functioning at its best, supporting overall wellness, comfort, and longevity!

📣 Looking for Case Study Horses! 🐴

Hey everyone! I’m currently completing an advanced equine nutrition advisor certification and am looking for 3-4 horses to feature as case studies.

This is a great opportunity if you’ve ever wondered whether your horse’s diet is really meeting their needs — or if you’ve been struggling with things like:

✨ Hard or easy keepers (trouble gaining or losing weight)
✨ Balancing body condition
✨ Managing metabolic conditions (like Cushing’s)
✨ Ulcer-related behavior or performance issues
✨ Chronic diarrhea or digestive concerns

If selected, each case study will include a thorough nutrition evaluation, body condition scoring, and personalized recommendations to help optimize your horse’s health, comfort, and performance.

If you’d like your horse to be considered, send me a message with a short description of them (age, breed, current diet, and any challenges).

Let’s get your horse feeling their best from the inside out! 💪🐎
