Residential treatment for teenaged boys struggling with sexual behavior problems

Kaizen Academy is about restoring & protecting sexual health and safety, and providing deeply needed hope and healing. Leading this cause, we provide intensive and comprehensive residential treatment for teenage boys who are struggling with inappropriate sexual behaviors. We recognize the impact of these issues on the entire family, and offer proven therapy, listening ears, moral support, and healthy strategies in our parent work, family therapy, and throughout the entire treatment process. Most sexual behavior problems are strongly related to – perhaps symptomatic of – a variety of emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges that these young men are struggling with. Depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, attachment difficulties, feelings of low self-worth, social problems, executive function deficits, processing issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder – these are all common issues that, when coupled with concerning sexual obsessions or behavior, make a young man a good candidate for specialized residential treatment at Kaizen.

Did you know that Kaizen Academy has a High School E Sports team? This is the seasons first week of competition and we play against other schools across the state of Utah. Mario Cart, Super Smash Bros and Rocket League are the games our students compete in.

Excited to be out of the heat and on our Strawberry Reservoir camping trip. The boys are spending the week fishing, biking, kayaking, catching crawfish, and learning outdoor survival skills.

First day of the Lake Powell trip in the books. This is the favorite of our staff and students. Students will fish, kayak, swim and learn outdoor survivor skills. Excited for the rest of the week.

We had our Quarterly Parent Weekend last week and spent time doing experiential/high adventure activities with our families. We appreciate the work that goes in to this on the part of families and staff. It's the family work that is so necessary to help heal and allow for permanent change. Thank you for all that participated in another successful weekend.

Great day out on the ice doing some fishing!! The boys got to experience -11° temperatures but still had a blast......... Jareth Dunne, Kaizen Academy academic director taught an outdoor survival for extreme temperatures class.

The boys have been playing flag football this fall. They've been able to play another program a few times and it has been such a positive experience. Maybe even more impressive is that they've been willing to do service at the local fields/parks that allows us to have access to play.
